Marib Governorate witnessed on Friday six mass marches under the slogan “We are coming in the tenth year, and Palestine is our first cause” in support of the Palestinian people.

The Sirwah district witnessed a mass march, in the presence of the governor of the governorate, Ali Tuaiman, in which the participants confirmed the continuation of marches, general mobilization campaigns and alert to confront the US-British aggression, and to support the Palestinian people.

Majzar district witnessed a mass march of the people of the northern square districts, in which the crowd blessed the operations of the Yemeni armed forces against Israeli and American ships. We call for the expansion of qualitative operations in support of the brothers in Gaza.

A statement issued by the marches announced the steadfastness and continuation of the principled position in support of the Palestinian people, reiterating the continuation of the two million marches in all arenas as a jihadist act, a responsible movement and a response to the call of Go
d Almighty.

The statement of the marches of the people of Marib stressed that any reckless American-British attack on the Yemeni people on the ground will be met with hundreds of thousands of mujahideen heroes.

He blessed the jihadist operations of the resistance in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as the Yemeni jihadist operations in support of the Palestinian people. He called on the Arab and Islamic peoples to take practical action to support the Palestinian people and support the brothers in Gaza.

The statement renewed the call to the peoples of the nation to boycott American and Israeli goods and companies that support them as the least duty and accessible to all. He stressed that the Yemeni people are coming in the tenth year with advanced military capabilities to protect Yemen, support the Palestinian people and confront the conspiracies of enemies.

Washington – U.S. credit rating agency Standard and Poor’s (SandP) has revised to positive from stable the outlook on its “BB+/B” sovereign credit ratings on Morocco.

“The positive outlook reflects our expectations that Morocco will build on its recent track record of implementing socioeconomic and budgetary reforms, paving the way for stronger and more inclusive growth, and a reduction in budget deficits,” the agency pointed out Friday in a release.

Morocco’s economy has proven “resilient” in the face of multiple shocks over the past five years, and maintained access to domestic and external financing, it said.

“We believe that the continued implementation of socioeconomic and budgetary reforms will help formalize the economy further and make it more inclusive and competitive, thereby stimulating GDP growth and bringing down budget deficits, albeit gradually,” the agency stressed.

“The budget and current account deficits decreased more than we expected in 2023, to 4.4% and 0.6% of GDP, respectively, and
we expect fiscal consolidation to continue,” it added.

SandP Global said it could raise ratings on Morocco within the next 12-18 months “if the government continues to implement structural reforms, resulting in stronger economic growth and a broadening of the tax base, while budget deficits continue to decline.”

“We believe the ongoing, albeit gradual, shift in Morocco’s underlying economic structure will benefit the growth outlook, economic stability, and fiscal trajectory,” the agency underlined.

The U.S. rating agency expects Morocco’s GDP to rise by 3.4% in 2024, from 3.1% in 2023, bolstered by robust performance within the tourism, automotive, and aerospace sectors, then average 3.7% in 2025-2027.

“Economic growth will be supported by stronger domestic demand helped by declining inflation and greater private investment, which will benefit from the economic reforms underway and stronger growth in the eurozone, Morocco’s main trade partner,” it added.

The Moroccan economy will also gradually benefit f
rom the development of large-scale projects in view of the Africa Cup of Nations in 2025 and the Football World Cup in 2030, the implementation of socioeconomic reforms, and the expansion of Morocco’s export capacity, according to the same source.

The U.S. agency said it expects Morocco’s budget deficit to decline to 3% of GDP by 2027.

The Moroccan economy “has weathered several global, regional, and local headwinds in recent years”, including the surge in energy and food prices, the COVID-19 pandemic, and multiple drought episodes, the agency noted, adding that the Kingdom’s economy has maintained unfettered access to external and domestic financing.

In 2023, the number of tourist arrivals was 12.3% above 2019 pre-pandemic, “a better performance than the global average”, despite the earthquake in the Marrakech region in September 2023, it said,

“The current account deficit narrowed to 0.6% of GDP in 2023, against our previous estimate of 2.7%, partly reflecting the continued diversification in the econom
y,” said the agency, which cited several measures undertaken by Morocco, including the implementation of a unified registry to better target households eligible for social support programs as well as the amendment of the Investment Charter.

“In our view, implementing structural reforms and social support programs will limit budget deficits from falling sharply in the near term, however, it will underpin medium- to long-term fiscal consolidation,” SandP Global Ratings pointed out.

The agency expects FDI inflows to gradually increase in the coming years, as the implementation of structural economic reforms makes Morocco more attractive to investors, recalling that the country issued its latest eurobond in March 2023 in two tranches: $1.25 billion with a 10-year maturity and a 6.5% coupon, and $1.25 billion with a five-year maturity and a 5.95% coupon.

Yemen Mobile Company announced today,Saturday, the distribution of its profits for the past year to shareholders at the rate of 40 percent of the nominal value of the share, which is the highest percentage of profits in Yemen.

At the company’s general assembly meeting, the caretaker Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Engineer Misfer Al-Numair, praised the company’s efforts in developing its services to subscribers and constantly updating its technologies in accordance with the latest systems in the world of communications.

He pointed out that the company is achieving increasing growth that enhances its leadership in the telecommunications market. He expressed his thanks to the company’s board of directors, executive management and the company’s cadres for their tireless efforts to maintain leadership with distinction and creativity.

While the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Yemen Mobile Company, Issam Al-Hamli, explained that despite the difficulties it faced with the continued ag
gression and siege, targeting and bombing of the company’s sites and stations, the high prices of production inputs, and the high costs of collecting revenues from the provinces, the company was able to overcome all of this, achieving outstanding results.

He pointed out that the company completed the project to modernize and develop its systems, which was implemented by contracting with the German consulting company “Detcon”, in accordance with international best practices.

Al-Hamli stated that the company’s market share rose to 55 percent, bringing the number of subscribers to the company’s services to 12 million. He pointed out that the company achieved revenues last year amounting to 249 billion riyals, with a growth rate of 17.54 percent over the previous year.

In the meeting, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Communications for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Ahmed Al-Mutawakkil, the Executive General Director of the General Telecommunications Corporation, Engineer Sadi

Rabat – Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, received, on Saturday, the members of the body in charge of revising the Family Code, who presented him with the body’s proposals with a view to submitting them to the High Appreciation of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist Him.

In a statement to the press at the end of the meeting, Akhannouch said he had received the members of the body in charge of revising the Family Code, having completed its missions within the deadlines set out in the letter sent by His Majesty the King, may God preserve Him, to the Head of Government, adding that the body’s rotating coordinator had presented him with a report on proposed amendments to the Family Code, for submission to His Majesty the King, may God assist Him.

The body has adopted a broadly participatory approach, through holding hearing sessions with various players from civil society organizations working in the fields of women, children and human rights, as well as political parties, trade unions, judges, acti
vists, researchers, academics and ministerial institutions and departments, he stressed.

The body also received memorandums by e-mail, before examining the proposals arising from the broad participatory consultations, said Akhannouch.

On this occasion, the Head of Government reiterated his sincere thanks and gratitude to HM King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, may God assist Him, who has kindly adopted this broad participatory approach to find ways of enabling the Moroccan family to play its full role as a pillar of society.

The Head of Government said he was honored to submit to the Sovereign’s high appreciation the proposals made by the body in charge of revising the Family Code.

The Ministry of Public Health and Population organized today,Saturday, a press conference on the effects of the aggression and blockade and its consequences on the health sector, ‘Resilience and Achievements.’

At the conference, in the presence of the Undersecretary for the Care Sector, Dr. Mohammed Al-Mansour, and the Population Sector, Dr. Najib Al-Qobati, the Ministry’s official spokesman, Dr. Anis Al-Asbahi, reviewed what had been accomplished in the health sector during nine years of steadfastness.

He touched on the most important achievements achieved by the Ministry, which included reforming the health sector through structural development, reviewing, updating and issuing laws, policies, strategies, regulations and guides, building the capacity of workers, automating the health system, providing medicines , medical supplies, and enhancing the performance of sub-units, including the Pharmaceutical Authority, the Medical Council, the Health Insurance Authority and the Medical Committee.

Dr. Al-Asbahi
pointed out that, in implementation of the directives of the Revolution Leader , Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the head of the Supreme Political Council, to provide free medical services to the poor and needy.

A program for free medical services for poor and needy families was prepared for the second phase to complete the equipping of the Heart Center and Kidney Center in the Revolution Hospital Authority, and the Oncology Center and Liver Center in the Authority. Republican Hospital and Al-Sabeen Hospital, and the establishment of the Pediatric Medicine and Surgery Center at Kuwait University Hospital, which will join the program for free medical services, phase two, with government support and with the participation of the General Authority of Zakat.

He also reviewed the construction interventions , rehabilitation activities and what was accomplished in the Yemeni Council for Medical and Health Specializations, the Medicines and Integrated Services Authority, primary health care, maternal
and newborn health, the physical therapy center, prosthetics, health system automation, evidence, standards and evaluation tools.

The Ministry of Health spokesman touched on the impact of the aggression on the health sector, the destruction of infrastructure and the victims, noting that the number of martyrs and wounded from the beginning of the aggression until March 25, 2024, who arrived at hospitals, was 49,408 civilians, including 15,752 martyrs and 33,656 injured. The number of child martyrs was three thousand and 184 martyrs and the wounded were four thousand and 714, while the number of female martyrs was three thousand , 223 women, and the injured were three thousand and 306 women.

The total number of civilian victims of disabilities reached 14,406 disabled persons, including more than 6,000 children.

He pointed out that the aggression coalition targeted 539 health and administrative facilities in 14 provinces, of which 162 health facilities were completely destroyed and 376 were partially destroye
d, which led to great pressure on the health sector, and more than 55% of health facilities were out of work, and under the siege 45%. Facilities are running minimally.

He reported that the total number of casualties among health personnel reached 69 medical and nursing personnel, including 66 martyrs, and the aggression caused the departure of approximately more than 95% of the medical personnel working in the country, the direct destruction of a medicine factory and two oxygen factories, and the targeting of 100 ambulances by bombing during their operation its medical duties.
