The National Cancer Control Authority announced the opening of the Oncology Department at the Children’s Teaching Hospital in Tripoli, which will contribute to developing ways to care for children with this disease.

Opening of livestock markets after controlling foot-and-mouth disease in Benghazi.

The Municipal Guard-Benghazi branch, announced today, Saturday, the opening of livestock markets and the lifting of restrictions on their movement after controlling the spread of the foot-and-mouth disease virus among livestock.

The agency reassured citizens that the spread of the virus had been controlled based on the report of the Chairman of the Management Committee of the National Center for Animal Health. The agency also confirmed that the restrictions placed on the movement of livestock between cities have been lifted on the condition that they bring a veterinary health certificate from the Animal Health Office.

The Municipal Guard indicated that all livestock markets, and slaughterhouses would be opened after they have been cleansed and sterilized by the competent authorities.
