Tribal reconciliation ends murder case in Bayda


A tribal reconciliation in Al-Qurayshiyah District Al-Bayda Governorate, ended a murder case between Al-Haddad and Al-Dhaheri tribes.

During the reconciliation, the blood relatives of the victim announced a pardon for the perpetrator, for the sake of Allah, and in honor of those present.

Guterres appoints Stephanie Khoury as Deputy Special Representative for Political Affairs in UNSMIL.

Secretary-General of the UN, António Guterres, announced the appointment of the American Stephanie Khoury as Deputy Special Representative for Political Affairs in the UNSMIL, succeeding Raisedon Zenenga from Zimbabwe.

Khoury has more than 30 years of experience in supporting political processes, peace talks, and conflict mediation, and more than 15 years of experience working with the United Nations in Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen.

HoR participates in the World Trade Organization parliamentary conference in the UAE.

The House of Representatives participated with a delegation that included MPs Ramadan Shambesh and Rabia Abu Ras in the parliamentary conference of the World Trade Organization, which was hosted by the Federal National Council of the UAE in cooperation with the International Parliamentary Union and the European Parliament.

The conference aims to mobilize parliamentary action to support and promote global trade that benefits the peoples and countries of the world, according to Parliament spokesman Abdullah Belhaq.

The conference also aims to involve parliamentarians in parliamentary activities dealing with international trade and development.

It is noteworthy that the Parliamentary Conference of the World Trade Organization was held on the sidelines of the Thirteenth Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization, which was held in the Emirati capital, Abu Dhabi.

Bin Habtoor emphasizes importance of restoring global status of Yemeni coffee


Prime Minister of the caretaker government, Dr. Abdulaziz Saleh bin Habtoor, affirmed that every effort made to restore Yemen’s position on the international coffee production map is important and will be appreciated by the leadership, government, and Yemeni people.

This came when he met today with the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation in the caretaker government, Eng. Abdul Malik Al-Thawr, who briefed him on the latest developments in the work of the ministerial committee formed under the Prime Minister’s order regarding the registration of Yemeni coffee with UNESCO.

In the meeting, Dr. Bin Habtoor received a copy of the book prepared by Professor of Contemporary and Modern History at the Department of History and International Relations at Sana’a University, Dr. Amat Al-Malik Ismail Al-Thawr, a copy of which is scheduled to be delivered to UNESCO, as part of the steps to register Yemeni coffee in its records.

Dr. Bin Habtoor noted the importance of registering and documenting Yemeni coffee of variou
s distinctive varieties, the book prepared by the researcher, and its scientific and documentary value.

He pointed to the ancient history of the Yemeni coffee crop, which will become one of Yemen’s most important monetary resources if it receives the necessary attention from various public and private state institutions and farmers alike.

The meeting was attended by a number of specialists from the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation.

The start of elections for local youth councils.

Today, Saturday, the process of receiving voters began at polling stations in various municipalities in Libya, to elect local youth councils, which begins under the slogan.

The official page of the Ministry of Youth of the National Unity Government published an aspect of the electoral process at polling stations in a number of municipalities, which shows the influx of voters to cast their votes and elect a council that represents youth in the municipalities.

The Ministry confirmed that the voting process is taking place in the presence of the sub-committee charged with following up on the elections, and with directors of the Ministry of Youth branches in the various regions.

It is noteworthy that the electoral propaganda operations ended last Thursday, the 29th of February.
