Childern celebrate advent of Ramadan in Old Sana’a under slogan ‘Palestine in our hearts’


Annually, the children and buds of Muammar in Old Sana’a District celebrate the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, with welcoming cheers and Ramadan cultural activities dedicated to welcoming the holy month.

Buds of Muammar celebration in Old Sana’a this year comes under the slogan ‘Palestine in our hearts,’ in solidarity with the children of Palestine in general and Gaza in particular.

During the celebration, many religious songs, poetic poems, welcome songs, cultural competitions, and theatrical clips were presented in support of the Palestinians, their just cause, and their steadfast resistance in the face of the American and European-backed Zionist aggression.

The joy and delight appeared on the faces of the children celebrating the advent of the month of Ramadan, and how proud they felt of the Yemeni people’s support for Palestine and support of Gaza in the face of the forces of Zionist arrogance.

Workshop on Climate-Smart Agriculture held in Sana’a


The General Authority for Agricultural Research and Extension (GRRS), in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), organized a consultative workshop on climate-smart agriculture.

At the opening of the workshop, which was attended by about 16 participants and specialists in agricultural affairs from the Capital Municipality and the governorates, the Chairman of the Authority, Dr. Abdullah Al-Olufi, stressed the importance of the workshop to review the results and recommendations of the basic study and the prevailing situation in agricultural areas.

He pointed out that the workshop, which was organized within the framework of the program to support resilient livelihoods, food security and climate adaptation in Yemen, aimed to identify farmers’ perception of the phenomenon of climate change and the impact of these changes on agricultural production, both plant and animal.

For his part, the Vice President of the Authority, Dr. Abbad Al-Bail, reviewed the methodologies
of the workshop and the purpose of its establishment. He pointed out that the participants were introduced to the objectives and obstacles of agricultural production and how to transform those goals and restrictions into future interventions.

He pointed out that the outputs of the workshop focused on finding a common vision for the importance of applying the concept of climate-smart agriculture within the upcoming agricultural strategy and policy in the country.

Al-Bail considered the workshop one of the steps in implementing the basic study for climate-smart agriculture, and its convening comes after the end of the field survey process for the targeted areas in each of the governorates of “Hajjah, Hodeida, Al-Mahwit, Sa’ada”, and raising the priorities of the upcoming interventions in those areas.

The workshop, which was enriched by interventions and suggestions by the participants, concluded with a number of recommendations, most notably how to benefit from the results of the study in updating or working
on the climate change strategy, as well as the mechanism for implementing upcoming activities or interventions, as well as investing in the field of climate-smart agriculture.

El-Kabeer discusses with French President’s Advisor the latest developments in CBL’s unification.Event to commemorate WKD in Hodeida

The Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Al-Siddiq El-Kabeer, discussed in Paris yesterday with the French President’s Advisor and Special Envoy to Libya, Paul Soler, the latest developments in the unification of the CBL and efforts made to approve a unified budget for 2024 in cooperation with the finance committee in the Parliament.

The communication office of the bank stated that the meeting was attended by the French Ambassador to Libya, Mostafa Mihraje, and discussed the bank’s vision for rationalizing spending in a way that ensures financial stability and financial sustainability of the state, the measures it will take about the currency of unknown origin and its effects on the exchange rate in the parallel market, and France’s role in supporting the bank’s efforts regarding addressing the economic and financial file.

The Humanitarian Development Foundation , the Public Health and Population Office in Hodeida province organized today,Saturday, an event on the occasion of World Kidney Day (WKD), and the launch of the charitable program for caring for people with chronic diseases in the province.

During the event, in the presence of the Director of Dialysis Centers in the province, Dr. Ayman Kamal, the Director of the Humanitarian Foundation, Muhammad Al-Rajawi, stressed the importance of commemorating World Kidney Day to spread community awareness of kidney diseases, their causes, and how to prevent them.

He pointed to the humanitarian services that the Foundation provided to kidney failure patients in the province during the past period, the most important of which were emergency operations and spreading awareness among community members about the importance of kidney functions and how to maintain them healthy by avoiding the causes of kidney diseases from the standpoint of prevention rather than treatment.

While the in
ternal medicine and kidney specialist at Al-Thawra General Hospital in the province, Dr. Maher Muajjam, reviewed the sound ways to preserve human health and kidney function from diseases, by avoiding pathogens, such as smoking, soft drinks and painkillers, and not drinking enough fluids for the body not eating healthy, beneficial food, and not exercising.

While the supervisor of the dialysis unit at the Martyr Al-Samad Center, Muhammad Allak, pointed out the importance of community awareness of kidney diseases, their causes and ways to prevent them, noting that the dialysis centers in the province provide dialysis services for 847 cases of kidney failure, including 561 cases in Hodeida city, and 120 one case in Zabid, 113 cases in Bajil, and 53 cases in Al-Qanawis.

PTC organizes closing ceremony for restructuring project


The Public Telecommunications Corporation (PTC) organized on Saturday in Sana’a a ceremony to close the restructuring project of the Corporation and honor the work team.

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology in the caretaker government, Eng. Misfer Al-Numair, stressed the importance of the restructuring project of the institution, which represents a strategic path to develop performance, pointing to the need to adhere to and implement the project outputs, processes and regulations.

The ICT Minister urged the directors general and departments to implement the project processes on a daily basis and evaluate the performance every month to detect errors and difficulties facing the work, pointing out the need to pay attention to the branches of the corporation, which is its arm, and the effective infrastructure, and to restructure the tasks entrusted to them.

Minister Al-Numair praised the efforts of the Transition Office led by Engineer Amin Al-Harthi, who had the main role in restructuring
the Foundation, as well as counterparts, consultants, leadership and employees of the Foundation.

The ICT minister pointed out that Djibouti has 9 submarine cables, while Yemen had one submarine cable in 2014, and Yemen currently has three submarine cables.

He referred to the lies promoted by the Zionist media about the bombing of three submarine cables in the Red Sea, considering these propaganda a distortion of the Yemeni position in support of our brothers in Gaza and the Palestinian people, who are subjected to a war of extermination and the most heinous crimes of the Zionist occupation.

He pointed out that targeting Israeli, American and British ships is a legitimate right to deter US-British aggression against our country and support the Palestinian people.

Inauguration of agricultural season in Hajjah


The Secretary-General of the Local Council in Hajjah province, Ismail Al-Muhaim, inaugurated the agricultural season and distributed more than 15,000 seedlings.

At the inauguration at the province center, Al-Muhaim stressed the importance of supporting farmers, providing them with coffee seedlings, redoubling efforts to encourage them to grow one of the most important cash crops for which Yemen and the province are famous, promoting agricultural development, and supporting the national economy.

He stressed the keenness of the Revolutionary Leadership and the Supreme Political Council to expand the cultivation of agricultural crops for which every district in the province is famous, in order to ensure achieving self-sufficiency and achieving food security.

He pointed out that there are many nurseries affiliated with the Agriculture Office to provide farmers with seedlings, pointing to the fertile land in the districts of Bani Al-Awam, Sharas, Kahlan Afar and Mubin for growing coffee.

ed that there is an inter-plan to grow coffee with a number of crops in Al-Sharafayn districts during the coming period.

Seminar discusses maritime strategies conflict


The Center for Military Strategic Studies organized, on Saturday, in Sana’a, a scientific symposium entitled “The Conflict of Maritime Strategies of the Influential Countries in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab – Effects and Repercussions”.

In the seminar, which was held under the slogan (Towards a strategic understanding of the motives and movements of the countries of influence in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab and the Gulf of Aden and confronting them), the Governor of Hadramawt, Major General Luqman Baras, gave a speech in which he referred to the foreign ambitions and conspiracies facing Yemen and the region, especially the American and British.

During the seminar, which was attended by a number of researchers and specialists, four scientific working papers were presented on the first working paper of Rear Admiral Rafiq Nasser Al-Jund, “the historical background and strategic importance of the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab in light of the conflict” and touched on three axes: the history of the Red Sea, its import
ance, and the current situation in the Red Sea region and Bab al-Mandab.

The second working paper was presented by Major General Mohammed Farhan – Director of the Higher War College, entitled (The various conflicts for control of the Red Sea, regional and international strategy) and dealt with five axes: Arab regional conflicts in the Red Sea, international conflicts and ambitions, the strategy of international powers in the Red Sea, conflicts between the great powers to control the Red Sea, the strategy of international powers in the Red Sea after the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the international strategy in the Red Sea in light of the aggression on Yemen.

The third working paper was presented by the researcher, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Shuaibi, entitled (A reading of the adventures of the First World War and the role of Yemen in its events in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab).

The fourth working paper was presented by the researcher, Rear Admiral Abdullah Hashem Al-Tayeb, entitled (The International and R
egional Conflict in the Red Sea and the Battle of the Al-Aqsa Flood: Its Repercussions, Effects and Dimensions), and dealt with five axes: repercussions, influences, strategic dimensions, military dimensions, maritime dimensions and repercussions of the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood, and the setbacks of the conflict and the battle for the Republic of Yemen.

The symposium came out with a final statement and important recommendations, the most important of which is Yemen’s adoption of an effective and integrated maritime strategy that keeps pace with regional and international transformations, building a Yemeni naval force that can protect Yemeni coasts and waters, establishing research divisions affiliated with the Center for Military Strategic Studies in military forces and regions, and the need to work to contain the international conflict at sea and reduce the international presence in it. Convincing neighboring countries, especially Eritrea, of the danger of the Israeli presence in the Red Sea, and emphasizing
the importance of the Red Sea and dealing with everything related to it based on this importance.
