The Coretec Group Releases May 2023 Shareholder Call Transcript and Webcast Recording

The Company provided updates on its Endurion battery program, discussed the importance of its latest provisional patent, and outlined goals for the remainder of 2023

ANN ARBOR, Mich., May 24, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Coretec Group (OTCQB: CRTG), developers of silicon anode active materials for lithium-ion batteries and cyclohexasilane (CHS) for electric vehicles (EVs), cleantech, and emerging tech applications, today released the transcript and webcast recording from its May 18, 2023 shareholder update on the Company’s Investor Relations Website.

During the call, The Coretec Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Matt Kappers, Chief Technology Officer, Ramez Elgammal, Ph.D., and VP of Partnerships and Innovation, Michelle Tokarz, Ph.D., shared its strong results from cycling tests on its modified silicon battery material. These tests proved three important factors:

  • Coretec’s team successfully bonded a polymer to the silicon nanoparticles.
  • The Endurion engineered solid electrolyte interface layer improves rate capability.
  • The cycling stability of Endurion’s silicon material outperformed unmodified materials.

The Company also discussed the importance of its latest provisional patent. The patent identifies three distinct, novel methodologies for minimizing pulverization and increasing the rate capability by creating an artificial solid electrolyte interface. This innovation is capable of extending the life and increasing the capabilities of silicon-based anodes for lithium-ion batteries, with an emphasis on scalability. The development marks a major breakthrough for the Company’s Endurion battery program focused on EV batteries that charge faster and last longer than the current industry standard.

Global Exhibition of Educational Development and Support Kicks off in Jeddah

The fourth Global Educational Exhibition of Development and Support (GEDS EXPO) kicked off today in the Hilton Hotel, Jeddah. The GEDS EXPO focuses on learning solutions, technology, universities and education sectors. Over the three days of the exhibition, held from 24 to 26 May, many important topics regarding 2023 developments and enhancements in education will be addressed through 21 lectures delivered by expert speakers.

Additionally, the exhibition provides the opportunity to build relationships between participants and business people, allowing mutual deals to enhance the support of the private sector to the public sector.

6+6 Committee: We achieved consensus on the election of the President of State and members of the National Assembly.

The joint committee in charge of the House of Representatives (HoR) and the State Council to prepare electoral laws (6 + 6) ,announced yesterday that it achieved a full consensus regarding the election of the president of state and members of the National Assembly, in addition to how to involve the political parties in the HoR elections through party lists or individual nominations.

This came in a statement following a new round of consultations in the Moroccan city of Bouznika, which was read by the head of the delegation of the High Council of State, Omar Boulifa.

The statement stated that the committee held several meetings in Tripoli before this round in Morocco, which were characterized by a positive atmosphere among the members during the discussion of most points related to the legislative and presidential election laws.

It added that it had connected with different government institutions concerned with elections, and was guided by a set of proposals it had received from political and civil bodies and Libyan experts in this regard.

The Committee stressed that holding legislative and presidential elections will take place according to simultaneous procedures.

The committee indicated the progress made in defining and distributing seats in the HoR and Senate according to constituencies, procedures for forming and approving lists of candidates, representation of women, controlling electoral crimes, procedures for electoral appeals related to the elections of the President of the State, the HoR, and the Senate, and organizing the right of all candidates to access equitably government media platforms as well as their own.

The committee also affirmed its members’ commitment and the commitment of their colleagues in the HoR and the state to complete the preparation of various electoral draft laws in this meeting, in order to achieve a consensual and comprehensive legislative framework for the elections in Libya, in constant consultation with the judicial bodies and the technical bodies represented by the High National Elections Commission and the UNSMIL.
