WHAT IS THIS ABOUT: On November 8, 2018, Cavco revealed in an SEC filing that it had “received a subpoena from the SEC’s Division of Enforcement requesting certain documents relating to, among other items, trading in the stock of another public company.” On this news, Cavco share price fell $49.48 per share, or over 23%, to close at $165.20 per share on November 9, 2018.

On February 4, 2019, Cavco revealed that it had received requests for additional documents. Foreign Minister presents Prince Salman bin Hamad Medal of Medical Merit to ambassadors

Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani presented Prince Salman bin Hamad Medal of Medical Merit to a number of ambassadors accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This was in implementation of the royal order of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to all the competent authorities to hand over the medal to the workers in the front lines from the health sector, Bahrain Defence Force, the Interior Ministry and all supportive parties.

Health Minister attends WHA opening session

Health Minister Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayyed Jawad Hasan today attended the opening of the 76th session of the The World Health Assembly (WHA) being held in Geneva, Switzerland, until May 31.

The inaugural sessions discussed key topics on the agenda, focusing mainly on the global strategy for women, children and adolescents’ health, comprehensive health coverage.

The minister delivered the statement of the Kingdom of Bahrain under the theme “The World Health Organization after 75 years: saving lives, achieving health for all”.

She expressed congratulations on the end of the pandemic, after the Geneva-based WHO declared that the virus no longer constitutes a global health emergency.

She praised international efforts which contributed to overcoming the global health challenge, commending the role of effective partnerships in protecting societies, which led to integrated immunity and the return to normal life to continue implementing the Millennium Development Goals.

She stressed the Government’s commitment to support global initiatives aimed to achieve health for all, by launching many targeted initiatives to engage all countries in these international health trends and achieve sustainable development goals. .

Health Minister to chair WHA main committee

The World Health Assembly (WHA) has elected Health Minister Dr. Jaleela bint Al Sayyed Jawad Hasan as Chair of the WHA Main Committee (A), which deals with key technical issues, such as health systems and comprehensive health coverage. and emergency preparedness and response.

This came on the sidelines of the 76th WHA session, which opened today in Geneva, Switzerland, and will run until May 31.

Candidacy for 7th Session of Central Municipal Council Membership Open in all Electoral Districts

The Ministry of Interior announced that candidacy for the 7th Session of the Central Municipal Council membership was opened at all electoral districts headquarters as of Sunday, May 21, 2023 until May 25, 2023 from 4:00pm to 7:00 pm.

The measure is in accordance with provisions of Law No. (12) of 1998 on the regulation of the Central Municipal Council and the laws amending it, and in accordance with provisions of Decree No. (17) of 1998 on the election of members of the Central Municipal Council.

The Ministry of Interior called upon citizens wishing to run for the elections to comply with the required conditions. The original nationality of the candidate must be Qatari; for the candidate who earned the Qatari nationality, the father must be born in Qatar. The candidate must have reached 30 years of age on May 25, 2023, and be able to read and write. The candidate shall be recognized for his competence and honesty, and shall not have been previously convicted of a crime involving dishonor or dishonesty, unless he has been rehabilitated. The candidate must be registered in the voters lists in the electoral district in which he is running, and to have a permanent place of residence within its borders. The candidate must not be working in the Ministry of Defense or the Ministry of Interior, or any other military entity.

With regard to the candidacy application procedures, the candidacy applicant must show at the election committee at the electoral district headquarters; present the identity card; fill in the form prepared for this purpose and sign it before the election committee; submit the application with two personal photos to the election committee and receive a receipt for that.
