HCS: Candidates for sovereign positions present their CVs and their vision for filling these positions

Tripoli- The High Council of State, through its official page, during the past two days, began presenting visual presentations of candidates to assume leadership positions in the sovereign functions entrusted to the Council.

The candidates for the positions of (President of the Audit Bureau – President of the High National Elections Commission – Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Libya) presented, through video recordings, a brief summary that included introducing themselves, their practical and scientific biographies, and their vision of the work programme in these sovereign positions.

Al-Dbaiba grants Ministry of Health an exemption to conclude part-time work contracts for medical staff

Tripoli- Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid al-Dbaiba, has granted Ministry of Health an exemption to conclude contracts for use of part-time workers, including medical and paramedical personnel.

According to a circular signed by the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Adel Jumaa, addressed to Ministry of Health, the exemption stipulates that these contracts be within the limits of the actual needs of hospitals and specialized centers, and through the financial allocations already approved for the ministry.

The ministry reported on its Facebook account, “This exemption the Circular of the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity No. 6 / 2022 regarding rationalizing spending in public sector, and taking a package of measures, including not renewing contracts of part-timers, whatever the nature of their work is, as of January 1.”

The State Council votes to lift the decision to suspend communication with the House of Representatives, and apologizes for responding to the Presidential Council’s invitation to hold a tripartite meeting in the city of Ghadames

Tripoli- The High Council of State voted today, Monday, to lift the decision to suspend communication with the House of Representatives, and that the constitutional rules be miniature, including the chapter on the system of government and transitional provisions.

This came during its (83rd) session, which was held at its headquarters in the capital, Tripoli, under the chairmanship of the President of the Council, “Khaled Al-Mashri.” Its “eighty-third” session was held at its headquarters in the capital, Tripoli, to discuss the latest political developments taking place in the country and the obstacles facing the electoral process that the Libyan people aspire to. As well as the invitation made by the Presidential Council, which aims to hold a tripartite meeting in the city of Ghadames on January 11th.

According to the media office of the High Council of State, the Council welcomed this initiative and thanked the members of the Presidency Council for their efforts in this regard, stressing at the same time that the constitutional rule file is a common matter between the High Council of State and the House of Representatives, and that reaching a consensus between them is close in this regard. Accordingly, it is not possible to participate in the aforementioned meeting.

French Ambassador to Libya discusses with Second Vice President of the High Council of State latest developments in the constitutional basis issue

Tripoli-French Ambassador to Libya, Al Mustafa Maharaj, reiterated his country’s support for the political settlement efforts in Libya, to reach the consensus required to complete the constitutional base and electoral laws to move forward towards the electoral entitlement.

This came during a meeting held by Maharaj on Saturday with the Second Vice President of the High Council of State Omar Boushah at the Council’s headquarters in the capital, Tripoli. The two sides discussed political developments, including the latest developments in the constitutional basis issue and what has been achieved and voted on by the High Council of Stat.
