Supreme Political Member Al-Sami blesses “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation

Member of the Supreme Political Council, Sultan Al-Sami, blessed the Al-Aqsa Flood operation carried out by the Palestinian resistance movements.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the Supreme Political Member al-Sami’i considered Operation Al-Aqsa Flood to be the decisive response and the voice rejecting all the Zionist occupation’s attacks, describing it as “one of days of Allah in history of the Arab and Islamic nation.”

He said: Gaza is now achieving the victory that every free person has long awaited, and is disciplining the enemy whose violations have wreaked havoc on the land.

He added that the Al-Aqsa Flood operation confirms to the normalizers that the Zionist entity is unable to protect itself against the heroic mujahideen in Palestine, so how can protect them?

Al-Sami pointed out that the support marches witnessed in Sana’a and some governorates for the Al-Aqsa flood confirm the unity of the issue.

Takala discusses with Al-Sayeh the difficulties that may face the conduct of the electoral process.

The President of the High Council of State, “Mohamed Takala,” discussed with the Chairman of the High Electoral Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, the difficulties that the Commission may face and the conduct of the electoral process.

According to the media office of the High Council of State, the meeting, which was attended by the Second Vice-President of the Council, Omar Khaled, and the Council’s Rapporteur, Belkacem Debrez, during which a number of challenges and difficulties that may face the Commission and the conduct of the electoral process, and ways to solve and overcome them, were discussed.

The discussion also dealt with clarifying the position of the High Council of State on the outcomes of the (6+6) Committee, as it adhered to what was agreed upon in Bouznika, the Kingdom of Morocco, on 6/3/2023, and considered any amendment following that to be contrary to the Constitutional Declaration and contrary to the correct law, and does not constitute any amendment according to the media office.

Takala stressed the need for the High Elections Commission to adhere to the Constitutional Declaration and what the two councils agree upon in all impartiality.

For his part, the Chairman of the High Electoral Commission explained, according to the Council’s media office, that these laws require many agreements in order to be implemented and acted upon.

Al Attiyah Wins Cyprus Rally

Qatari Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah won on Sunday the 50th edition of the Cyprus International Rally, the fifth and final round of the Middle East Rally Championship for the 2023 season.

Nasser Al Attiyah with co-driver Mathieu Baumel onboard Volkswagen Polo GTi R5 covered the 194.88 kilometers of the 12 special stages of the two-day event in a time of 3 hours, 3 minutes and 38 seconds, finishing top in the general classification, 3 minutes and 21 seconds faster than Al Rawahi with a Skoda Fabia R5, who improved on his 3rd place in 2021 Al Attiyah’s eighth victory in the Cyprus Rally (2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020, 2023) extended his winning record in the national race.

Al Attiyah by winning the Cyprus Rally, tied with Omani Al Rawahi at the top of the overall standings of the Middle East Championship with 108 points, after Al Attiyah got 30 points and Al Rawahi got 24 points in the Cyprus Rally. According to the regulations of the regional championship, the International Automobile Federation (FIA) will be tasked with determining the champion.

Asian Games 2023/ QOC Secretary-General Hails Qatar’s Achievements

HE Secretary-General of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Jassim bin Rashid Al Buainain hailed the Qatari achievements in the 19th Asian Games which concluded Sunday in Hangzhou, China.

Without a doubt, the Qatari athletes have made honorable results with 14 medals including five gold, six silver, and three bronze, as always in such major events, Al Buainain said.

These satisfactory results reflect the development of the level of Qatari sports in light of the unlimited support from the wise leadership and the great attention given by the QOC, chaired by HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani, in addition to the efforts of federations and committees, he added.

Al Buainain considered that seven Qatari sports federations winning medals in the Asian Games 2023, in addition to achieving two medals for the first time in 33 basketball and squash, is a good indication that Qatari sports are on the right path.

The QOC, in coordination with the sports federations, was keen to give the opportunity to many young players to participate in the tournament in line with the strategy of preparing teams for the Asian Games – Doha 2030, he added, hailing the Asian Games in Hangzhou as an opportunity for interaction with international athletes, some of them among the world’s top-seeded, which would positively reflect on the levels of Qatar’s promising athletes and enhance their experience for future tournaments.

Ministry of Investment Receives UK Delegation of 20 Companies Specialized in the Esports Sector

The Ministry of Investment (MOI) hosted a delegation of 20 prominent UK companies in the esports sector today. The delegation engaged in productive discussions with the MOI’s sports sector team as well as representatives from the Ministry of Sports, the Saudi Esports Federation, and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. The primary objective of the meeting was to explore the notable investment opportunities within the esports industry and to stay updated on the latest business and investment developments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Moreover, a workshop was conducted, wherein the British companies collaborated with relevant governmental and private entities. The workshop shed light on the key investment advantages available in Saudi Arabia for emerging esports sectors. It also focused on the enhancement of the business environment within the country.

During the workshop sessions, the MOI, in partnership with the Ministry of Sports and the Saudi Esports Federation (SEF), presented a series of comprehensive plans and strategies relating to the broader sports sector, with a particular emphasis on the esports domain. The workshop highlighted various projects and initiatives in the gaming and esports realm, while exploring potential investment avenues in collaboration with other entities. The ultimate goal was to attract exceptional partnerships that can further enrich the sports sector in Saudi Arabia.

Shura Council Speaker Receives Croatian Foreign Minister

The Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, received today at the council headquarters in Riyadh the Croatian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gordan Grlic Radman.

Al Al-Sheikh commended the relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Croatia and said he was looking forward to boosting these relations, mainly those between the Shura Council and the Croatian Parliament. He also reviewed the Saudi Vision 2030, its future aspirations and the Kingdom’s renaissance and development in all areas.

The Croatian minister commended the relations between the two countries, noting that Saudi Arabia plays a pivotal role in the Middle East region and strives to achieve security, peace and stability in the Middle East and beyond. He also said he hoped to add new aspects of cooperation in various fields, mainly at economic level, thus contributing to fulfilling Saudi Vision 2030 and its economic programs.

Several Shura Council officials attended the meeting.
