Makkah Region Deputy Governor Chairs Meeting of Central Hajj Committee

Prince Badr bin Sultan, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, has chaired the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Central Hajj Committee.

Prince Badr, the committee’s vice-chairman, reviewed the plans of concerned agencies for the last ten days of the holy month of Ramadan and their preparations for the 1444 H Hajj season.

Discussions also went over the preparedness of service providers for worshippers and visitors of the holy sites, starting with their arrival, stay in Mekkah, and performance of prayers and religious rituals at the Grand Mosque through their departure from the sacred city.

Also reviewed were the statistics on the services provided for the visitors of the Grand Mosque since the beginning of Ramadan, including the distribution of more than 7.6 million meals and more than 32,000 liters of Zamzam water as per the Rifadah and Siqayah Program.

Progress in the projects implemented at Makkah’s holy sites has also been discussed during the meeting as well as the early preparations of the concerned agencies for this year’s Hajj season.

Sultan of Brunei Darussalam Visits Prophet’s Biography International Fair and Museum

Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam and his accompanying delegation visited today the International Fair and Museum of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization in Madinah.

Upon arrival at the museum, which is supervised by the Muslim World League (MWL), the Sultan of Brunei Darussalam was received by the Secretary of the Board of Directors of International Fairs and Museums of the Prophet’s Biography and Islamic Civilization Sheikh Dr. Nasser bin Misfer Al-Qurashi Al-Zahrani.

The Sultan of Brunei Darussalam was briefed on the various sections of the museum, starting with the Greetings Section to Allah and the Prophet, and a number of interactive presentations on the biography of the Prophet (PBUH) in addition to the Hijra (migration) path, atlases, maps, and various educational means.

He watched a number of short films manifesting how the technology revolution is used to serve the Prophet’s biography.

The Sultan was also briefed on the Kingdom’s efforts in serving the Holy Qur’an, the Sunnah, and the Two Holy Mosques, and expressed his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince for the existence of such creative and civilized works. He also thanked the MWL for its effort, supervision, and keenness to transfer this experience to the world.

He expressed admiration for what he saw in the museum by saying: “This is an impressive work, a huge project, and a blessed scientific work that changes the misconception about Islam and shows the true image of the Islamic religion”.

The International Museum of the Prophet’s Biography is considered the largest project of its kind that is concerned with the comprehensive cultural definition of the Prophet (PBUH), his noble virtues, his great morals, and his tolerant law, through the latest technologies that make a visitor lives the dimensions of the Prophet’s biography, scenes, and historical monuments.

HRH Crown Prince Condoles Emir of Kuwait on Death of Sheikh Mubarak Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister sent a cable of condolence and sympathy to Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, on the death of late Sheikh Mubarak Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

In his cable, HRH the Crown Prince expressed profound sorrow and sadness on the death of Sheikh Mubarak Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and extended his condolence and sympathy to His Highness the Emir of the State of Kuwait and the family of the deceased, appealing to Allah Almighty to bestow His mercy and forgiveness on the deceased soul, and to dwell him in His spacious gardens, and protect His Highness the Emir of the State of Kuwait from any harm.

Slight Rise in Qatar Stock Exchange Index at Beginning of Thursday’s Trading

Qatar Stock Exchange index started trading Thursday with a slight increase of 0.01%, to add 0.86 points and reach the level of 10,266 points, compared to Wednesday’s closing.

Qatar Stock Exchange figures referred to the positive performance of the transportation sector by 0.98%, the communications sector by 0.23%, the real estate sector by 0.15% and the industrial sector by 0.10%. On the other hand, the performance of the insurance sector was negative by 0.12%, the bank and financial services sector by 0.28% and the consumer goods and services sector by 1.13%.

At 10:00 am, Qatar Stock Exchange recorded transactions worth QR 44.903 million, distributed among 14.190 million shares, with the implementation of 2032 transactions.

KSrelief Distributes 63 Tons of Food Baskets in Hadibu and Qulensya Districts in Socotra Governorate

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed 63 tons and 617 kilograms of food baskets on Monday in Hadibu and Qulensya districts in Socotra governorate, Yemen, benefiting 8,316 people.

The aid is part of relief and humanitarian projects that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia implements through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, in Yamen.
