EDGE is a green building standard and a global certification system developed by the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation that certifies the design and resource efficiency of green buildings. Data centers account for an estimated 1% of worldwide electricity use, so the industry must be conscious of its responsibilities. Foreign Minister Receives Phone Call from His Swedish Counterpart

Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a phone call today from the Swedish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Tobias Billström.

During the telephone conversation, the two sides discussed developments in the Republic of Sudan, the efforts exerted to halt the military escalation between the conflicting parties, put an end to the violence, and provide the necessary protection for Sudanese civilians and residents on its territories in a way that guarantees the security, stability and well-being of Sudan and its brotherly people.

Moreover, the two sides also reviewed bilateral relations and means to enhance and develop them in various fields and discussed aspects of intensifying joint coordination on various issues of common concern.

Also on the Sudan crisis, Al-Raya newspaper wrote in its editorial today under the title “War kills Sudan’s joy in the holiday” that the Sudanese people received the first day of the Eid with the noise of war in the heart of the capital, Khartoum.

The newspaper slammed the outbreak of clashes in the streets of the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, yesterday, despite calls for calm on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr, while shooting did not stop throughout the night, as it has been the case every day since the fighting began on April 15.

With the absence of a scope for a political solution, the ongoing conflict deepens the wounds of brotherly Sudan and the weakens possibility of ending the war, the newspaper said adding that the humanitarian situation is still critical, and needs intensive efforts of rescue operations, to evacuate a large number of civilians who are stranded due to the continued fighting.

Al-Raya concluded saying: In the face of the current disastrous conflict and its threat to the present and future of Sudan, there will be no escape in the end from sitting at the negotiating table, and this path must be accelerated before it is too late and more innocent people of Sudan who seek peace, security and stability fall.

In a local affair, The Peninsula said that the State of Qatar has built a robust healthcare system that is one of the best and fastest-growing in the region. It has been ranked among the world’s top five health systems that provide quality health care.

Under the title “World-Class Healthcare System”, the newspaper said in its Saturday editorial that Qatar’s health sector has made significant progress in recent years to protect and support the health and well-being of Qatars population. Ministry of Foreign Affairs Announces Arrival of Evacuated Citizens, Nationals of Several Countries from Sudan

In the implementation of the directives of the Kingdom’s Leadership, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the safe arrival of the citizens of the Kingdom who were evacuated from the Republic of Sudan as well as several nationals of brotherly and friendly countries, including diplomats and international officials, who arrived in an evacuation operation carried out by the Royal Saudi Naval Forces with the support of various branches of the armed forces.

The number of citizens who were evacuated reached 91 citizens, while the number of people who were evacuated from brotherly and friendly countries reached approximately 66, representing the following nationalities (Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Tunisia, Pakistan, India, Bulgaria, Bangladesh, the Philippines, Canada, and Burkina Faso). The Kingdom worked to provide all the necessary needs of foreign nationals in preparation for their departure to their countries.
