Architecture and Design Commission Signs MoU with French Architects for Export to Enhance Cooperation

The Architecture and Design Commission and the French Architects for Export (AFEX) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in common fields.

The signing ceremony took place at the AFEX’s headquarters in Paris, with the Commission represented by its CEO, Dr. Sumayah Sulaiman Al-Solaiman, and the AFEX represented by its Secretary-General, Madeleine Houbart.

This MoU reflects the Architecture and Design Commission’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with prominent international organizations, educational institutions, and companies in the architecture and design sector. This will support excellence in the sector, exploit expertise and capabilities, reflect local culture, promote economic development, and upgrade the fields of architecture and design in the Kingdom.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Minister of Foreign Affairs II of Brunei Darussalam

Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, met today with Dato Erywan Pehin Yusof, the Minister of Foreign Affairs II of Brunei Darussalam in Jeddah.

During the meeting, they reviewed partnership and cooperation relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance them in various fields, in addition to discussing aspects of intensifying bilateral coordination on regional and international issues of common concern.

The meeting was attended by the Minister of Finance and Economy of Brunei Darussalam Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, and Deputy Minister for Political Affairs Ambassador Dr. Saud Al-Sati.

KSrelief Distributes More Than 16 Tons of Food Baskets in Indonesia

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has continued the food baskets distributing project in the Republic of Indonesia for 2023.

As many as 16 tons and 480 kilograms of food baskets were distributed in the Republic of Indonesia, benefiting 1600 people from 400 families.

This comes as part of the Ramadan Food Basket Distribution Project in Indonesia, which aims to distribute 6,687 Ramadan Food Baskets in Indonesia, benefiting 33,435 people in several regions of Indonesia.

Fourth Batch of Saudi Oil Derivatives Grant Arrives in Aden

The fourth batch of the Saudi Oil Derivatives Grant, consisting of 150,000 metric tons of diesel and 100,000 metric tons of mazut, has arrived at the oil port in Aden. This initiative is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to support the Yemeni people, in response to a request by the Yemeni government to help provide oil derivatives to operate over 70 power generation plants across Yemen. The directive to provide this grant was issued by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

This grant is a testament to the Kingdom’s commitment to achieving security, stability, and development for the Yemeni people and is an extension of previous grants amounting to USD 4.2 billion. The Saudi Oil Derivatives Grant is part of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen (SDRPY), which has implemented 229 development projects and initiatives across Yemeni governorates to serve Yemenis in seven main sectors, including education, health, water, energy, transport, agriculture, and fishery, as well as building the capacity of government institutions, in addition to other development programs.

KSrelief Hands over 29,412 Rice Bags to Liberia

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) handed over on Friday a total of 29,412 rice bags, weighing 735,300 kilograms, to the Republic of Liberia as per efforts to enhance food security in the West African country.

The food assistance was handed over to Liberian Foreign Minister Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah in Monrovia, in his capacity as representative of Liberia’s government, to be distributed by the National Disaster Management Agency among 88236 beneficiaries in the presence of the Saudi Deputy Ambassador to Ivory Coast Mohammed Al-Mubarak, Liberian Internal Affairs Minister, Varney Sirleaf, and other officials.

Kemayah voiced gratitude for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s assistance to the needy segments in his country, extending the Liberian president’s greetings to the Saudi leadership.

This comes within the Kingdom’s humanitarian and relief efforts through KSrelief to support food security in fraternal and friendly countries worldwide.
