President of Presidential Council discusses with Stephanie Williams her initiative to form a committee from House of Representatives and High Council of State

Tripoli- President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi received, on Wednesday, the Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations to Libya, Stephanie Williams, to discuss developments of the political situation in Libya.

The meeting touched on discussing Williams’ initiative to form a committee from the House of Representatives and the High Council of the State, to set a constitutional basis for holding elections as soon as possible, in a way that contributes to finding consensual proposals to solve the Libyan crisis.

The Adviser to the Secretary-General praised the efforts of President al-Manfi to support stability in Libya, and his standing at the same distance from everyone, stressing that the mission aims, through its initiative, to establish stability and conduct the elections.
