Tripoli- The General Staff of the Libyan Army condemned the armed clashes that took place at dawn today, Tuesday, according to a statement published on its official website.
In its statement, the Chief of Staff announced its strong rejection of these clashes, which it said had terrified citizens, caused property damage, and attempted to plunge the capital into chaos and fighting.
The Presidency of the General Staff said that it orders all military and support units to abide by the notification of the Supreme Commander to prevent the movement of military convoys.
The Chief of Staff confirmed, according to its statement, that it is committed to the civil state and the peaceful transfer of power, through fair elections away from the use of weapons.
