3.6 Million Individuals Benefit from Ministry of Islamic Affairs Programs Since Start of Hajj season

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has carried out various awareness and guidance programs in Makkah and holy sites since the start of the Hajj season.

The ministry stated in a report that the number of beneficiaries of these programs reached 3,673,941 individuals. These programs come within the efforts of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance during Hajj season.

LMRA conducts three joint inspection campaigns in “Muharraq”, “Northern and” Southern” Governorates

The Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Labour continue joint efforts to intensify inspection campaigns against illegal practices in the Labour Market, in order to maintain a competitive, fair and stable labour market.

LMRA conducted two joint inspection campaigns in the Muharraq and Northern Governorate, in coordination with the Ministry of Labour and the third was in the Southern Governorate in coordination with the Nationality Passports and Residence Affairs of the Ministry of Interior (NPRA) and the Governorates’ Respective Police Directorate. ?

??The campaigns resulted in reporting violations related to the labour market and residency laws. The cases were referred for legal action.

??LMRA renewed its call on all members of the society to support the efforts of government agencies in addressing illegal labour practices, by reporting violations via the electronic form on the authority’s website www.lmra.gov.bh or by contacting the authority’s call centre on 17506055.

Bulgarian Council for Economic Analyses Holds First Annual Conference

The first annual conference of the Bulgarian Council for Economic Analyses is held on June 26 and 27 at the St. Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, Bulgarian News Agency quoted the council as saying Monday. Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov took part in the opening of the forum.

The Bulgarian Council for Economic Analysis was established in early 2023 by Decree of the Council of Ministers and has an advisory character. Its members include economists from the academic community of prestigious universities and international institutions. Its objective is to focus attention on issues important for Bulgaria’s socio-economic development and to prepare independent analyses on individual issues on the state of the national economy, the challenges it faces, and possible policies to address them.

The conference is organized jointly by the Council of Ministers, Sofia University, with the participation of its Faculty of Economics, and the European Economic Association.

Within its framework research papers will be presented on monetary and fiscal policy, climate change policy, inflation, systemic risk and banking, taxes, income inequality, and the labor market.

CBB Treasury Bills oversubscribed by 109%

This week’s BD 70 million issue of Government Treasury Bills has been oversubscribed by 109%.

The bills, carrying a maturity of 91 days, are issued by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), on behalf of the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The issue date of the bills is June 28 and the maturity date is September 27.

The weighted average rate of interest is 6.15% compared to 6.11% in the previous issue on June 21.

The approximate average price for the issue was 98.469% with the lowest accepted price being 98.384%.

This is issue No. 1971 (ISIN BH0009926E72) of Government Treasury Bills. With this, the total outstanding value of Government Treasury Bills is BD 2.110 billion.

President of Investment Authority meets number of Omani businessmen and investors

President of General Authority for Investment, Yasser Al-Mansour, met today with a number of Omani businessmen and investors, in the presence of the Director of the General Authority for Standardization and Metrology, Sam Al-Bashiri.

Al-Mansour reviewed investment opportunities in the mining and quarrying sector and other sectors, which include complete data that includes the location of each opportunity, its investment cost, incentives, advantages and facilities provided by the Authority to those wishing to invest in Yemen, a number of Omani businessmen and investors in the presence of the Director of the General Authority for Standardization and Metrology, Sam Al-Bashiri.

Tourism minister evaluates achievement level in Tourism sectors

A meeting held in Sana’a, headed by Minister of Tourism Ahmed al-Amir, was devoted to assessing the level of performance and achievement in the various sectors of the ministry.

The meeting listened to a number of achievement reports in the ministry’s sectors.

Tourism minister al-Amir indicated that the work of the sectors in the ministry and its offices will be subject to a continuous evaluation process based on efficiency and the level of achievement in implementing tasks and developing programs that advance institutional and government work, and improve the performance and quality of services.

Minister al-Amir stressed the importance of redoubling efforts and coordination between the various sectors to accelerate the completion of work and tasks, improve performance, and increase achievement rates, especially in the field of providing services, classifying facilities, and evaluating their work in accordance with the regulating laws and regulations.

The minister stressed the importance of assuming responsibility from everyone, working in a team spirit, following up on problems and obstacles, and working to overcome them, especially with regard to coordination with some relevant authorities to enhance the role of the ministry, improve the quality of services, and prevent overlapping in specializations.
