Libyan Navy rescues 61 migrants off the coast of Tripoli.

Tripoli, The Libyan coast guard managed to rescue 61 illegal immigrants of African and Arab nationalities, who were on their way to European shores on a rubber boat.

The Office of Information and Ceremonies, headed by the Chief of Staff of the Naval Forces, said that the boat “Sabratha” of the Coast Guard patrols carried out the rescue operation, which took place west of the capital, Tripoli, after receiving a distress call.

The office stated that the migrants were disembarked at the Tripoli Naval Base before being transferred to the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency. Who will take care of them and complete the procedures for their deportation to their countries.
