Tripoli, The Head of Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba has issued instructions for prompt opening of paths and execution of infrastructure works in the Tripoli area of Gargaresh.
This came in the aftermath of an extended meeting Al Dbeiba held with Ministers of Interior, Housing, and heads of executive bodies, heads of state property and urban planning departments, as well as the Head of Municipal Guard and Acting Mayor of Hai Al Andalus Municipality, and Chief of Public Services Company and a representative of the Attorney General Office.
The Prime Minister stressed need for opening paths, and executing of a network of roads in the area of Gargaresh, with an emphasis on putting in place a mechanism for compensating the affected owners within enforced laws.
Gargaresh was a scene to a crackdown by security forces, who were called to intervene, to rid the area of gangs, drug dealers and traffickers, most of them of African descent, after demands from local residents for the Government to put an end to the chaos in the area.
