Foreign Ministry announces an upcoming visit by the Italian Prime Minister to Libya.

Tripoli, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity announced the upcoming visit of Italian Prime Minister, Georgia Meloni to Libya.

The ministry said in a tweet on its Twitter account, “The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Government of National Unity, Najla al-Mangoush, received, Tuesday, the Italian ambassador to Libya, Giuseppe Buccino Grimaldi.”

During the meeting, they discussed logistical preparations for the visit of a high-level delegation headed by Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Meloni, accompanied by the Italian Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Interior and a number of Italian government officials, according to the ministry.

Meloni had announced, during her visit to Algeria, the visits she would make later to the North African countries within the framework of a planned development plan, which she called (the Matti Plan for Africa), but she did not name those countries and dates for her visits.
