President Of Presidency Council Meets Delegation Of Kambot And Gabes To Discuss Political Developments In Libya.

Tobruk, President of Presidency Council Mohamed Al Mnefi met here on Monday youth delegation from Kambot and Gabes with whom he discussed latest political developments in Libya.

According to the Council Communication Office, the delegation voiced its full support for the President of Presidency Council’s effort towards national reconciliation, his success in unifying Government institutions, and his attitude to the integrity of Libyan soil, and yet his stance on the same distance from all for the sake of Libya’s stability and conducting of elections in December.

Member Of Presidency Council ‘Al Lafi’ Meets Two Members Of Parliament.

Tripoli, Member of Presidency Council Abdullah Al Lafi met in the capital on Monday Rabiya Buras Member of Parliament Defence and National Security Committee and member of Parliament Fatima Al Swei.

The meeting focused on national security-related issues, including unifying the Military, enact of transitional justice laws and national reconciliation.

The MPs briefed the Member on the work of the committee in regard to defence and national security file.

Head Of Government Of National Unity Receives Algerian Ambassador.

Tripoli, Head of Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba met Wednesday afternoon Algerian Ambassador to Libya Kamal Al Jarrari.

According to the Government Communication Office, Al Dbeiba expressed to the Algerian Ambassador his sorrow for large number of deaths of the Algerian Military, who died fighting the fires which erupted in the country, and asked him to convey his condolences to the President and the Algerian people and solidarity of his own and the Libyan people to the Algerian people in these difficult conditions.

The Ministers Of Foreign Affairs Of Bahrain And Germany Renew Their Support For The Government Of National Unity.

Berlin, Bahraini Foreign Minister “Abdullatif Al-Zayani” renewed the call for the international community to support the national unity government and the need for all foreign fighters and mercenaries to leave Libya.

This came during a joint press conference held by “Al-Zayani” with his German counterpart “Heiko Maas” today, Wednesday, following a session of joint official talks, in the presence of two delegations from the two countries in the German capital, Berlin, according to what the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on its website.

Al-Zayani affirmed his country’s support for the efforts of the international community to create the necessary conditions for holding the elections on time, on the 24th of next December.

Al-Zayani expressed the Kingdom of Bahrain’s appreciation for the active and constructive role of the friendly Federal Republic of Germany in the Middle East, noting that the peoples of the Middle East have suffered greatly and for a long period of insecurity and stability, expressing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s pride in working and coordinating with the Republic of Germany in providing support and hope to the peoples of Region.

He also praised the efforts of the Federal Republic of Germany in hosting the Berlin 1 and Berlin 2 conferences to resolve the Libyan crisis.

Chief Of The General Staff Of The Libyan Army: The Army Will Not Serve The Ambitions And Struggles Of Politicians And Will Protect The Constitution, And The Head Of State Is Considered The Supreme Commander.

Tripoli, The Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, Lieutenant-General, “Mohamed Al-Haddad”, affirmed the army’s commitment to its sound military doctrine and the laws that obligate it not to interfere in political life, and that it will not serve the ambitions and struggles of politicians and will protect the constitution, and considers the head of state to be the supreme leader.

Al-Haddad said in a speech he delivered today at the celebration held in Tripoli on the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Libyan army in 1940.

He added, “The Libyan army was on the day of Bushra’s founding of independence, and today it will be the nucleus for ending the nation’s crisis and building it.”

Al-Haddad pointed out that the conflicts that we see today, whether local, regional or international, which have caused destruction to the country, actually want to bring in the army and drag it to take sides in order to achieve authoritarian projects, which is rejected by the values and doctrine of the military establishment.

EUBAM And IRINI Sign Arrangement To Assist Libya Protect Its Territorial And Sea Borders.

Tripoli, The Head of EU Border Assistance Mission EUBAM Natalia Cea and the Chairman of European Mission for Monitoring Arms Embargo on Libya Operation IRINI, Fabio Agostini have signed a working arrangement to assist Libya in its effort to protect its territorial and Sea borders.

EUBAM tweeted: ‘both IRINI and EUBAM are assisting the Libyan people in their efforts to restore peace, security and the rule of law in the State of Libya. With this arrangement – recognizing the importance of implementing the EU integrated approach in Libya – Operation IRINI and EUBAM establish effective cooperation in order to strengthen their respective actions and to respond to newly emerging issues related to Libya.’

EUBAM said the goal of the agreement within the international partnership was to help Libyan authorities protect their territorial and maritime borders.

‘Operation IRINI and EUBAM Libya decided to cooperate, within their respective mandates, with a view to supporting the relevant Libyan authorities in developing maritime capacities, with particular attention to the capacity building and training of the Libyan Coast Guard and Port Security, the announcement said, adding’ Cooperation between Operation IRINI and EUBAM also focuses on cooperating in fields such as arms trafficking, oil smuggling and organized crimes.’
