Tripoli- The Head of the Council of the High National Election Commission HNEC Imad Al-Sayeh met Thursday at the Commission headquarters in Tripoli with Algerian Ambassador to Libya Suleiman Shnain and his delegation.
The meeting focused on the latest political developments in Libya and internationally, and ways to strengthen national proposals and efforts to complete the upcoming elections in the coming period.
The Algerian Ambassador expressed his country’s support for the choices of the Libyan people and their firm desire to achieve free elections to bring peace and stability to the country and the Arab region, and paid tribute to the commission’s efforts and the professionalism which, he said, characterized the previous electoral stages. He also praised the commission’s level of readiness and efforts to provide ideal conditions for holding elections.
