Al-Mashri and the Turkish Foreign Minister reiterate the importance of holding elections in Libya according to sound legal and constitutional foundations.

Tripoli, Head of the Supreme Council of State, Khaled Al-Mashri, and Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlüt Çavusoglu, affirmed their keenness to hold elections in Libya as soon as possible according to sound legal and constitutional foundations.

This came during a meeting between them today, Monday, in Istanbul, Turkey, according to what was published by the Media Office of the Supreme Council of State on its official page on the “Facebook” website.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them at all levels, to serve the interests of the Libyan and Turkish peoples.

Al-Mashri, during his visit to Turkey today, was also reassured about the health of the Turkish President, Recep Erdogan, his wife and the Minister of Defense after they were infected with the Corona virus, as the Foreign Minister confirmed that they are in good health.
