Speaker of the House of Representatives: Neither the House of Representatives nor the State Council has the right to interfere in the matter of the constitutional rule.

Cairo- The Speaker of the House of Representatives, “Aquila Saleh,” denied today, Monday, that the House of Representatives is the one obstructing the completion of the constitutional rule in the country.

“Saleh” said in a press statement after his meeting with the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, “Ahmed Abul-Ghaith” in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, that the House of Representatives, in agreement with the Council of State, amended the constitutional declaration, Amendment No.12.

He added that this committee met in Cairo several times and accomplished a large part of these tasks, but the end of Stephanie Williams’ mission and the delay in assigning a new envoy from the United Nations was a reason why it did not meet again, given that its meetings only take place under the supervision of the United Nations.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, “Aquila Saleh,” renewed the invitation to the United Nations envoy, “Abdullah Batili,” to invite this committee to a meeting to complete its work in completing the constitutional rule.

“Saleh” said that the original jurisdiction of the constitutional rule is the competence of this committee, and neither the House of Representatives nor the State Council has the right to interfere in the matter of the constitutional rule, stressing that this committee derives its powers and tasks from the constitution “the constitutional declaration” and not from the House of Representatives and the state.

“Saleh” continued in his statement that the completion of the constitutional rule is entrusted to this committee, and out of the House of Representatives’ keenness to accomplish it, this committee can send its outputs to the High Electoral Commission to hold elections.
