‫شركة Sinopec تكتشف احتياطي الغاز الصخري عالي الإنتاجية في حوض سيتشوان 

يضيف حقل تشيجيانغ للغاز الصخري احتياطيًا جيولوجيًا جديدًا يبلغ 145.9 مليار متر مكعب

The National Oil Company authorizes the start of operations of the ethylene plant in the Ras Lanuf industrial complex.

Tripoli- Today, Monday, the National Oil Corporation gave permission to start operating the ethylene plant in the Ras Lanuf industrial complex.

The Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Corporation praised all the efforts made by the management of the Ras Lanuf Oil and Gas Manufacturing Company and its employees in order to restart this industrial edifice that has been suspended for years.

The Chairman and members of the Board of Directors also affirmed his continuous support for the company in order to return production to high levels, congratulating all workers in the sector for this achievement.

The Chairman and members of the Council stressed that the operating steps should be carried out in accordance with the procedures and requirements of operational safety, leading to the integrated production stage.

Egypt and the United Nations agree to intensify joint action towards advancing the Libyan-Libyan political solution

Tripoli-Egypt and the United Nations agreed to intensify joint action towards advancing the Libyan-Libyan political solution in order to achieve security, stability and prosperity in Libya.

This came during an audience Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry gave in Cairo on Monday to Abdullah Batili, Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.

At the beginning of this meeting, the Egyptian Foreign Minister renewed his congratulations to the Special Representative on assuming his post on his first visit to Egypt, expressing Egypt’s full support for him for success of his mission to restore stability in Libya, highlighting the pivotal role of the United Nations and its neutrality, which makes it enjoy the confidence of the parties inside Libya and in the international community, according to a statement by the Spokesperson for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs published by the Ministry’s SMS page.

During the meeting, Shoukry presented the continuous efforts made and still sincerely exerted by Egypt to resolve the Libyan crisis, especially through its recent hosting of the rounds of the constitutional track between the two High Council of Representatives of State, pointing to the importance of completing this track and the need to hold presidential and legislative elections simultaneously in Libya in order to end the crisis, and achieve the aspirations of the brotherly Libyan people, with an emphasis on Libyan ownership of the solution and the importance of respecting the elected legislative institution.

Shoukry added that this also requires the implementation of UN and international decisions on the exit of all foreign forces, mercenaries and foreign fighters from Libya within a specified time frame, stressing in this regard the importance of supporting the mission of the Joint Military Committee 5+5.

For his part, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations reviewed during the meeting the efforts and contacts he is making across Libya, and his keenness to speak and listen to all parties to resolve the crisis, expressing his full appreciation of the constructive and pivotal Egyptian role in Libya.

UN Mission in Libya: monopoly of arms in Libya belongs to the state alone

Tripoli-Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Political Affairs Residon Zenenga stressed the need to take gradual steps to place arms under the authority and responsibility of the Libyan state.

This came in a speech during his participation in the workshop organized on Monday by the Joint Operations Center on “the state’s monopoly on weapons in Libya,” according to what the mission published on its official SMS page.

Zenenga said that the monopoly on weapons belongs to the state alone, which has the means to use it in a legitimate and accountable manner, in order to provide security for Libyans under the rule of law.

Zenenga also reiterated UNSMIL’s continued support for Libyan-led efforts in the areas of security reform, disarmament, demobilization and reintegration, withdrawal of foreign forces, foreign fighters and mercenaries, and collection and disposal of remnants of war and unexploded ordnance. He highlighted the challenges facing the security and safety of the Libyan people and institutions as a result of proliferation of weapons being owned by un-official bodies.
