TripoliThe Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, (Mustafa Sanalla) discussed with the member of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Center for Future Studies Akram Al-Masry, and its Director General Hamza Mosaddeq, the prospects for joint cooperation with regard to alternative energies and the center’s readiness to develop a common vision In the field of studies related to energy, oil and gas.

Member of the Board of Directors of the Center, Akram Al-Masry, presented an overview of the center, its role, and the specialized departments it includes for the study of energy, oil and gas, expressing the center’s desire to develop a common vision in the field of studies related to this aspect.

For his part, Eng. Mustafa Sanalla called on the center to present a study to reduce dependence on gas in the production of electric power and the need for an urgent start in renewable energies, calling on the center’s officials to focus on studies related to alternative energies, expressing the institution’s readiness to fully cooperate with the center in everything It would serve and develop the Libyan oil sector.

Tripoli- The Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, the Coordinator of the Mission, “Resdon Zeninga”, requested the Joint Military Committee (5+5) to continue its cooperation with the United Nations, including providing the necessary support to facilitate the work of the ceasefire monitoring unit of the United Nations in Sirt.

This came during his meeting today in Benghazi with the five members of the Joint Military Committee in the Eastern Region (5 + 5) to hear them regarding the reasons for the measures announced in their statement issued on April 9, according to what the mission published on its website.

During the meeting, Zeninga praised the important achievements of the Joint Military Committee, stressing the commitment of the United Nations to urge the efforts focused towards finding a permanent solution to the outstanding issues, stressing the importance of avoiding escalation and resolving differences through dialogue and preserving the work and what has been accomplished by the committee.

For their part, the five members of the eastern region of the Joint Military Committee expressed their concern about the current situation and its consequences for living in the eastern region.

Members also raised urgent issues that are still pending, which put the work of the (5+5) Committee and the progress made on the security track to the test.

The five members stressed the importance of the commitments of the Government of National Unity towards the eastern region, which plays a vital role in securing oil production and contributing to the security and stability currently established in Libya.

Tripoli the Law Enforcement Department of the General Department of Security Operations evacuated the sites of the Man-made River that obstruct the transformation plan by implementing the fourth phase of the Man-Made River Project system designed for the purpose of transferring water from the Ghadames wells field to the coastal strip, and arresting the occupants of the site.

The implementation came based on the decision of the Attorney General, after the Public Prosecution began the investigation into the continued obstruction of the transformation plan related to the implementation of the fourth phase of the system of the project.

The Counsel directed the Public Prosecutor to initiate investigation procedures in the face of individuals who refrained from handing over sites; and taking the necessary measures to limit the effects of the perpetrators’ act;
