The embassies of America, France, Germany, Italy and Britain welcome Williams’ arrival in Tripoli and affirm their full support for her efforts.

Tripoli, The embassies of France, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and the United States “warmly” welcomed the arrival of the Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Libya, “Stephanie Williams”, to the capital, Tripoli, today, Sunday, according to a tweet published by the US Embassy in Tripoli. Libya via its Twitter account.

The US embassy said in a second tweet: “We affirm our full support for its efforts to help the Libyans conduct peaceful, free and fair, inclusive and credible presidential and parliamentary elections that pave the way for a united and stable future for Libya.”

The United Nations mission had announced earlier today, the arrival of Stephanie Williams to Tripoli to lead the efforts of good offices and mediation and to work with Libyan, regional and international actors to follow up on the implementation of the three tracks of the Libyan-Libyan dialogue and to support the holding of presidential and parliamentary elections.

The Army Staff publishes topics of discussion in the meeting of Al Haddad and Al Nadhori.

Sirte, The city of Sirte, where the heroes of Al Bunyan Al Marsous made great sacrifices and freed the city from the grip of the Islamic State (ISIS), on Saturday hosted a friendly meeting a Libyan-Libyan encounter, which brought together General Mohammed al-Haddad and general Abdul Razzaq Al-Nadhori and members of their military delegations.

According to the Communication Center of the Libyan Army’s General Staff, the meeting discussed several topics, including (the sanctity of Libyan blood, banning internal inter-fight, unity of Libyan territory, securing borders and fighting illegal immigration and organized crime.

The meeting also emphasized that the Army’s duty is to protect the homeland, the citizens and the constitution – not to militarize the state, not to politicize the military establishment, to support efforts for the establishment of a civilian state – to develop a comprehensive plan for the organization of militants and armed formations – to develop structured and basic mechanisms and steps to unite the military establishment in order to build a Libyan army away from political wrangling.

The meeting underscored need for removing political tensions through the formation of joint committees for this purpose and praised the efforts and steps taken by the Military Commission 5+5.

Three presidential candidates call on concerned bodies to coordinate to ensure a fair, transparent elections.

Tripoli, Three candidates to presidential elections called in a joint statement yesterday on the House of Representatives, the High Council of the State, the Supreme Council of the Judiciary and the High National Election Commission to consider the statement of the High National Election Commission to render the electoral process a success and to ensure the participation of all political parties in a fair and transparent process, away from exclusion and inter-fight.

This was made in a joint statement circulated on SMS pages on Saturday on behalf of (Fathi Ali Bashaga – Mohammed Abdul Latif Al-Mantaser, – Ahmed Omar Maaitiq) all the three are running for the presidential elections on Dec. 24.

The joint tripartite statement stressed that ‘holding of the presidential and parliamentary elections is the only comprehensive solution to the Libyan crisis, which allows the creation of new unified authorities capable of promoting Libya and the Libyans).

US and Italian Foreign Ministers confirm their countries’ support for holding Libyan elections on set time.

Liverpool, U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price confirmed on Sunday that Foreign Minister Anthony J. Blinken met with Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio on the sidelines of a meeting of G7 Foreign Ministers in Liverpool, Britain, and that the two Ministers discussed security issues in the Mediterranean and reaffirmed their countries’ support for Libyan political leaders to take the necessary steps to hold parliamentary and national presidential elections on December 24.

Price said Blinken and Di Maio agreed to continue close consultation with other NATO allies and EU partners on a coordinated and comprehensive approach. According to a report published on the US State Department’s website.

GNA Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation receives new Algerian ambassador to Libya

Tripoli, Algeria’s new ambassador, Suleiman Shnain, presented a copy of his credentials as his country’s Ambassador to Libya, to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Najla al-Mangoush, at a meeting at the Foreign ministry in Tripoli on Sunday.

The Ambassador conveyed the greetings of Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtan Lamara to the the Foreign Minister and good wishes to the Libyan people for greater stability and progress..

The Algerian ambassador also praised the distinguished presence of Al Minister Al Mangoush in all regional and international meetings and her leadership of Libyan diplomacy with all merits.

For her part, Foreign Minister Najla Al-Manoush expressed her thanks and appreciation to the President, Government and people of Algeria for their support for their brothers in Libya, and their keenness to achieve security and stability throughout Libya.

Al Mnefi meets with officials of the Educational Facilities Guard in the Eastern Province.

Tobruk, The President of the Presidential Council, Mohammed Al Mnefi met Saturday with officials of the Educational Facilities Guard in the Eastern Region to discuss their administrative situation.

Representatives of the Educational Facilities Guard called on the President of the Presidential Council to stand with them, stressing their rejection of the decision to include them in the Ministry of Interior.

Al Mnefi promised to communicate with the relevant authorities to settle their administrative situation, stressing the important role they play in protecting educational facilities, in order to ensure a safe environment for our students.
