President of Presidential Council discusses with the counter-terrorism force securing of the upcoming electoral process.

Tripoli, The president of the presidential council, Mohammed Al Mnefi met on Wednesday with leaders of the counter-terrorism force to discuss several security issues of concern to the upcoming electoral process.

The meeting addressed the role of the Counter-Terrorism Force in contributing to policing and combating crimes related to the destabilization of security and stability.

The President of the Presidential Council stressed importance that the force assumes its security duty professionally, to enhance the security of citizens, to block those who try to harm the security of the society, stressing the need to act in accordance with the arrangements approved by the Joint Military Commission (5+5) in its recent meetings.

The leaders of the counter-terrorism force highlighted the Presidential Council’s interest in the security file, especially the call by the supreme commander of the Libyan Army to hold such a meeting and previous meetings, which aim to support security and stability in the country.
