With the support of the United States Agency for International Development: The World Health Organization organizes a training workshop for rapid response teams in Benghazi.

Tripoli, This week, the World Health Organization organized a training workshop in the city of Benghazi for rapid response teams to COVID-19.

The workshop, which was held with the support of the US Agency for International Development, targeted monitoring supervisors in the municipalities, as well as public health doctors, medical laboratory technicians and workers in isolation centers, in addition to data entry.

During the workshop, participants were trained on surveillance and its mechanisms, early warning of epidemics and response to them, as well as training for laboratories on sample collection, transportation and preservation.

This workshop is part of the World Health Organization’s program to raise capacities in the field of surveillance and confront the possibility of epidemics and emergencies.
