Minister of Employment and Rehabilitation discusses aspects of cooperation with United Nations Development Program.

Tripoli, GNU Minister of Employment and Rehabilitation Ali Al Abed Al Rida discussed at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli on Wednesday, with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program in Libya, Marc Andre French, ways to enhance partnership and cooperation between the Ministry and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

The Minister stressed importance of coordination to benefit from international expertise in the field of training and capacity-building in the professional and craft fields required by the local labor market.

For his part, the resident representative of the United Nations Development Program in Libya praised cooperation of the Ministry of Employment and Rehabilitation, and the role it plays through the “national project for rehabilitation and reintegration” that was launched recently.

The UN official confirmed the mission’s support for the ministry in a number of programs and projects that would provide job opportunities to achieve stability in Libya, stressing that this would only be done through economic integration programs and that they supported the efforts of the Ministry of Employment and Rehabilitation in the area of rehabilitation and training.

Attorney General receives minutes of tasks assigned to Law Enforcement Administration Branch to control attacks on state-owned land.

Tripoli, The Attorney General Al-Siddiq Al-Sour has received minutes of the tasks assigned to the Tripoli Law Enforcement Administration Branch of the General Administration of Security Operations.

The Ministry of Interior website said the Attorney General received the minutes of the accomplished work assigned to them by the Tripoli Law Enforcement Administration Branch of the General Administration of Security Operations which was handed in by the head of the branch, Colonel “Abdul Hakim Saleh”.

The head of the branch reviewed the tasks that have been accomplished and the continuous follow-up processes, to ensure that attacks on state property by some violators are not repeated.

It is worth noting that the Attorney General gave instructions to the Tripoli Law Enforcement Force to seek and arrest violators of state-owned lands in several areas, remove random buildings, as well as prevent random connections from water supply sources of the Man-Made River and to close down all illegal complexes.

During joint press conference with Egyptian President in Cairo, Romanian President affirms support for stability and democratic transition in Libya.

Cairo, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis affirmed his country support for stability and democratic transition in Libya, “within the framework of the coalition against ISIS to achieve peace in North Africa and then Europe.”

This came at a joint press conference, President Klaus held with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in Cairo on Wednesday.

For his part, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said that the two sides stated that they look forward for holding elections in Libya on December 24, which would allow the brotherly Libyan people the opportunity to choose a unified government that preserves the security

The Supreme Council of State discusses with the elected mayors of the Libyan municipalities the latest developments in the political situation in the country, the most important of which is the elections file.

Tripoli, The Supreme Council of State headed by “Khaled Al-Mishri”, and in the presence of the First Deputy “Masoud Obaid”, the heads of the committees in the Council and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Local Government for Municipal Affairs “Mustafa Salem” held a dialogue meeting with the mayors of Libyan municipalities today, Wednesday, the elected representatives, at the council’s headquarters in the capital, Tripoli.

The attendees exchanged – during the meeting, which was joined by a number of representatives from the councils of notables, sages and civil society organizations – views on the developments in the political situation in Libya, the most important of which is the election file to be held on the twenty-fourth of next December, and ways to support the electoral process on sound legal and constitutional foundations.

At the end of the meeting, mayors of municipalities, representatives of the councils of the wise, and civil society institutions issued statements expressing their positions on the special procedures related to the electoral process.

President of the Presidency Council meets head of the UN Support Mission in Libya.

Tripoli, President of Presidency Council Mohamed Al Mnefi met this morning the head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Jan Kupis, to discuss the latest developments in the political scene in Libya.

Al; Mnefi and Kupis discussed the international conference on Libya, which will be held in the French capital, Paris, at the level of heads of state and government in November, and the steps to remove mercenaries and foreign forces from Libyan territory.

The meeting also touched on what the 5+5 Joint Military Commission has achieved, by working to implement the plan it approved at its last meeting in Geneva.

During the meeting, the President of the Presidential Council stressed the need for concerted international efforts, to end the current stage by holding presidential and parliamentary elections simultaneously, in order to achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people to reach a lasting stability.

For his part, the UN envoy affirmed the commitment of the United Nations to work to achieve stability and peace in Libya, by achieving all requirements of this phase, so that it enjoys prosperity and development.
