Al-Ferjani Ali Ahmed takes over his duties as Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Technical Education

Tripoli, Al-Ferjani Ali Ahmed took over his duties as Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Technical Education for Administration and Development Affairs, in implementation of a decision.

Council of Ministers for the Government of National Unity issued Resolution No. 343/ 2021, regarding the designation of “Al-Ferjani Ali Ahmed” as Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Technical Education for Administration and Development Affairs. The assignment take over was attended by the Minister of Technical and Technical Education, Khalaf Saeed Sifaw, and a number of directors of departments and sections and employees of the ministry.

As soon as he assumed his duties, the Minister of Technical and Technical Education held a joint meeting with the Undersecretary, during which a number of topics, plans and programmes were discussed to advance and develop the work of the Ministry.

The Undersecretary affirmed his keenness to work as one family to advance the technical education sector and its important role in training youth and boosting the national economy. .

President of Presidential Council discusses with director of Sebha security, security situation.

Tripoli, President of Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manfi discussed today in Tripoli with the Director of Sebha Security, Brigadier General Mohammed Ali Bashir, security situation in the city, and ways to develop security performance to maintain security and safety of citizens, and public and private properties.

The President stressed the importance that police and security institutions play their role in maintaining public security in all southern cities, especially security directorates, by supporting them with the necessary technical and logistical capabilities, and training their cadres to play their role in extending security and imposing state authority.

He also calling for more work and security coordination with the Ministry of Interior to impose security in the city of Sabha and all cities of the south. For his part, the director of Sebha security reviewed the current security situation in the city of Sebha, and gave a detailed explanation of some of the problems and difficulties facing the work of the security directorates in the south.

The Sebha Security Director praised the Presidential Council’s interest in all cities and regions throughout the country, and its constant endeavor to develop the performance of all police and security institutions, in order to build a state of law and institutions.

The Presidential Council reviews with the Prime Minister the latest developments in the country.

Tripoli, The President of the Presidential Council, “Mohamed Al-Manfi”, and the two deputies to the Council, “Moussa Al-Koni” and “Abdullah Al-Lafi”, this morning, discussed with the Prime Minister, “Abdul Hamid Al-Dbaiba”, the latest developments in the country.

The Council reviewed with the Prime Minister, during a meeting held today, Wednesday, the measures taken by the government, in many sectors, foremost of which are the files of youth, women and retirees, and to improve the level of services for citizens in all cities of the country.

During the meeting, the role of the government, through its specialized agencies, was emphasized in doubling the work and continuing to support vaccination campaigns against the spread of the virus in all cities.

The meeting also stressed the importance of continuing to work to establish security, through coordination between the competent agencies, and urged all these agencies to perform their assigned role.

Foreign Ministers of Jordan and Italy Renew Support for Political Transition in Libya Through Elections in December.

Rome, Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio has discussed with his Jordanian Counterpart Aymen Al Safadi Mediterranean issues and political and security developments in Libya.

Di Maio stressed to his Jordanian Counterpart, according to a statement published by the Italian Foreign Ministry his country’s commitment priorities of supporting political transition in Libya through the Dec. 24 elections and withdrawal of mercenaries and foreign forces.

The two sides reaffirmed positions of Jordan and Italy which support an end to the crisis in Libya through a political solution agreed by Libyans in accordance with the approved roadmap, and that there is no alternative to presidential and parliamentary elections on the set time.

The Presidential Council discusses with the Head of the Electoral Commission the latest preparations for the December 24 entitlement.

Tripoli, The President of the Presidential Council, Muhammad Al-Menfi, and Representatives Moussa Al-Koni and Abdullah Al-Lafi discussed with the Head of the High National Elections Commission, Emad Al-Sayeh, today, Wednesday, the latest preparations for the upcoming elections.

The meeting discussed mechanisms for implementing the electoral process scheduled for next December 24, and preparing the best technical and security means for its success.

The Chairperson of the Commission reviewed the latest preparations made by the Commission to conduct a fair and transparent electoral process, in accordance with applicable international principles and standards.

At the meeting, it was stressed the need to formulate a legal and constitutional framework for the upcoming electoral process, upon which everyone would agree, in order to contribute to the establishment of free elections, and the results of which would be accepted by all parties involved in the political process.

Head of Government of National Unity Issues Instructions for setting up Clubs for Retirees.

Tripoli, The Head of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba has issued instructions for setting up special clubs for retired people in which they can exercise different activities.

In a letter to the GNU Minister of Local Government, Al Dbeiba stressed importance of utilizing the expertise that the retirees have, to provide technical advice.

He also called, in a letter to the Chairman of the Board of Health Insurance Fund, to include retirees in the Government health insurance program.
