Head of Government Signs Decision for Establishment of Refinery and Cooking Gas Facility in South Libya.

Tripoli, The Head of the Government of National Unity Abdul Hamid Al Dbeiba has signed a decision for establishment of a refinery and a cooking gas facility in the southern Libyan region.

The event, which took place at the National Oil Corporation, was attended by Deputy Head of Government Ramadan Bujnah, a number of ministers and notables of the southern region.

‘We are not unmindful that our people in the southern region have for years awaited the construction of these facilities to happen, the virtual start of establishing a refinery and cooking gas facility which were unable to materialize for reasons known to everyone.. but today the will is there, and when the will is there we can start accomplishment, Al Dbeiba said at the signing ceremony.

‘The financing of the projects is ready, so are the plans and specifications at the National Oil Corporation, Al Dbeiba said, adding that stability of the South would only be realized through developments and projects.

HNEC Announces Start of Accrediting Media Organisations specialing in Election Monitoring.

Tripoli, The High National Election Commission on Monday announced that it has started processing applications by local and foreign media organisations and civil society organisations specializing in election monitoring.

The Commission set Tuesday Oct. 5 as a date for receiving applications for accreditation, according to the announcement posted to the HNEC SMS page.

During her meeting with the King of Bahrain in Manama, Najla Al-Manqoush reviews the latest developments in Libya, and preparations for organizing the international conference for the initiative to support the stability of Libya.

Manama, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, received at Sakhir Palace in the capital, Manama, today, Monday, Foreign Minister Najla Al-Manqoush, who arrived this morning on her first working visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

During the meeting, Al-Manqoush reviewed the latest developments on the Libyan arena, the efforts made to lead the current stage, and the preparations for organizing the international conference for the initiative to support the stability of Libya, which was launched by the Government of National Unity as the first purely Libyan initiative, and Libya’s intention to organize an international conference at the end of this October.

For his part, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa affirmed his country’s support for the unremitting efforts and endeavors of the Presidential Council and the Government of National Unity to lay the foundations for security, stability and peace in all parts of Libya.

He stressed the importance of taking steps in support of stability in Libya, preserving its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and conducting the electoral elections scheduled to achieve the aspirations of the Libyan people for development and prosperity, expressing confidence in the Libyans’ ability to overcome this stage and overcome all current challenges.

The meeting also touched on the latest developments on the regional and international arenas, in addition to the latest developments in the region.

The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity inaugurates Libya Build (2021) International Exhibition for Building and Construction in its eleventh session on the grounds of the Tripoli International Fair.

Tripoli, The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, “Abdul Hamid Al-Dbaiba”, inaugurated this Monday evening the activities of the Libya Build ( 2021) International Exhibition for Building and Construction in its eleventh session on the grounds of the Tripoli International Fair.

More than “200” Libyan companies from a number of countries in the world will participate in the exhibition, including “127” Libyan companies specialized in the field of building and construction.

Organized sources indicated that the exhibition, which will continue until the seventh of this month, will witness the participation of “500” exhibitors, and the number of visitors is expected to be “14 thousand”.

Tripoli, Minister of Interior “Khaled Mazen” discussed with the Chargé d’Affairs of the Hungarian Embassy in Libya “Garbob Bab” prospects for joint security cooperation and bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

The meeting, which was held today, Monday, at the Ministry’s office, in Tripoli, also touched upon discussing a number of security issues and issues of concern to the two countries.

The Presidency of the House of Representatives issues a decision to restructure the board of directors of the Libyan News Agency.

Tobruk, The Office of the Presidency of the House of Representatives issued Resolution No. (8) for the year 2021 regarding restructuring the Board of Directors of the Libyan News Agency from among its press cadres working in its branches in the West, East and South.

The resolution stipulated in its first article that the board of directors of the Libyan News Agency be reconstituted as follows.

1 – Mr. “Abdul Baset Ahmed Abudia”, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libyan News Agency.

2- Mr. Ibrahim Hadiya Al-Majbri, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.

3- Mr. Masoud Ahmed Al-Murabet, member of the Board of Directors.

This decision shall come into force – in accordance with the text of Article Two – from the date of its issuance, and every ruling that contradicts it shall be repealed, and each one in his jurisdiction shall implement it.

The Board of Directors of the Libyan News Agency and its employees, including journalists, photographers, employees and technicians, reaffirm their commitment to perform their tasks and work, adhering to the principles, values and ethics of professional journalistic work in all objectivity and impartiality, and with all sincerity and honesty in the service of Libya and its great people, and work to highlight everything that enhances national unity and strengthens brotherly bonds. It safeguards the independence of the country and preserves its security, sovereignty, and the dignity of its citizens, wherever they are.
