Tripoli, Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba reiterated his support for youth segment and his desire to see wedding tents instead of funeral tents, and reconstruction funds instead of ammunition boxes.

In his speech, during his supervision, Tuesday, at the Cabinet Office, the Prime Minister expressed his hope for the delivery of marriage grant instruments to a number of applicants, expressing his hope for young people who are expected a lot from them and depend on them in development and construction.

During the handover ceremony, which was attended by the Minister of Youth Fathallah Al-Zni and the head of the Marriage Support Fund, “Khaled Mohamed”, the Prime Minister handed over the first certificates to the first person from the first batch of applicants, which included (60) young men who are about to get married. The Media Office of the Presidency of the Government stated that this step comes within the framework of implementing the initiative of the Prime Minister of the National Unity Government to facilitate the marriage of young people, which he launched during the national celebration of the International Youth Day last August.

Tripoli, The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid al-Dabaiba met, Tuesday, with the British Ambassador to Libya, Caroline Hurndall.

Ambassador Hurndall said that she discussed with Dabaiba support for the efforts of the government of national unity towards elections, stressing that the meeting touched upon the common interests between Britain and Libya, especially in the files of climate change and regional stability.

Cairo, Work of the preparatory meetings of the 11th Libyan-Egyptian Joint High Committee began in Cairo this morning, at the expert level, with the aim of discussing ways to enhance joint relations between the two brotherly countries, in light of historical relations and the possibilities available to develop relations in all fields.

The Libyan delegation is headed by the Ministry of Economy and Trade, with the participation of representatives of the Ministries of Transportation, Housing, Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Planning, Economic Affairs, Interior, Culture and Knowledge Development, Finance, Civil Service, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Technical Education, Agriculture and Marine Wealth, Sports, Labor and Rehabilitation, and representatives of the General Electricity Company, and the Telecom Holding Company.

The Egyptian delegation at the expert level is headed by the Ministry of International Cooperation, and a number of ministries and stakeholders are participating, including the ministries of higher education, scientific research, education, technical education, health, population, manpower, petroleum, mineral wealth, housing, utilities, urban communities, communications, information technology, transportation, youth, sports, planning, economic development, electricity and aviation, as well as representatives of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority and the Electricity Holding Company.

During the expert meetings, the two sides discussed mechanisms for developing relations between the two countries, overcoming all obstacles that prevent this, and exchanging experiences in the fields of investment promotion and studying available investment opportunities, as well as discussing the formation of the Egyptian-Libyan Joint Business Council.

The experts from the Libyan and Egyptian sides also discussed a number of documents and agreements proposed to be signed, during the work of the Egyptian-Libyan Joint Higher Committee headed by the prime ministers of the two countries.

It is noteworthy that the work of the Libyan-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee had held ten sessions before, the last of which was in December 2009. Egypt and Libya are bound by a wide range of agreements, protocols, memoranda of understanding and executive programs covering all areas of cooperation between the two countries, amounting to about 60 documents.

In his own blog, Borrell revealed, after his recent visit to Libya, a clear Libyan request to strengthen the European Union’s support for southern Libya to address the issue of illegal immigration, explaining that the Libyan request is to use the European Union Border Assistance Mission and other European tools to achieve an integrated approach linking the administration of Borders, security, job creation and improvement of basic services.

The European representative of the Commission cautioned the importance of taking into account that the current security situation in the region makes it impossible to establish a stable international presence on the ground, noting that the risks posed by instability in Libya are very clear with the number of weapons in circulation and the possibility of its vast uncontrolled areas turning into havens for organized crime. and terrorism. Borrell added that the crisis that erupted in the Sahel region due to the events that took place in Libya in 2011 and the death of Chadian President Idriss Deby in a clash with rebels coming from Libyan lands is a cause for concern.
