World Bank Resident Representative in Libya: Bank working in Libya since 2004 and looks forward to expanding areas of bilateral partnership

Tripoli The World Bank’s Resident Representative in Libya Henriette von Kaltenborn-Stachau confirmed that the World Bank has been working in Libya since 2004 and that on this occasion it looks forward to expanding the areas of bilateral partnership, whether with local institutions or others, leading to the completion of work at the local level.

In a speech during her participation in the work of the Development Partners Forum – Libya – which began its work in Tripoli today, she said, “We are engaged in the reconstruction of Libyan cities that have witnessed recent events, in partnership with the United Nations Development Fund and other relevant institutions, to address the challenges the country is going through. “We are partnering with academic bodies that represent a significant contribution to the implementation of the tasks entrusted to them, especially in the fields of development and reconstruction, according to the Economic Forum, and working in cooperation with Libyans to hold more such forums, to be an opportunity to discuss other issues, she added.
