Al-Zawiya, The Western Region Activities Forum called on the House of Representatives and the State to expedite agreement on a constitutional basis for holding presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible.
The forum, which was held in the city of Al-Zawiya, demanded in the final statement the preservation of the unity and sovereignty of the Libyan soil, the unification of all civil and military institutions of the state, and the expulsion of all foreign military forces from the country.
The forum also called for the release of all detainees from all prisons, reparation for damages, restitution of grievances, non-interference in internal security affairs between cities and tribes, and the non-strengthening of one party over another.
The forum suggested the establishment of a Council of elderly in the western region and the formation of internal and external reconciliation committees to communicate with the displaced and forced migrants.
