The UN reaffirmed its commitment to promoting sustainable peace and stability in Libya.
Head of the UN Support Mission in Libya Abdoulaye Bathily affirmed on Twitter the importance of working to pave the way for comprehensive and transparent elections in Libya.
Last week, the Libyan Parliament approved the roadmap emanating from the 6+6 committee to prepare electoral laws in the country.
In Dec. 2021, Libya was scheduled to witness presidential and legislative elections, but they were postponed indefinitely due to differences between the political parties.
