Tunisian Interior Minister: The security situation on the borders with Libya is safe and not a cause for concern.

The Tunisian Minister of Interior, “Kamal al-Feki,” said that the security situation on the borders with Libya is safe and is not a cause for concern.

In statements to reporters during his working visit to the Tataouine region, southeastern Tunisia, El-Feki confirmed that communication between the Tunisian and Libyan authorities is continuous to secure the borders from all terrorist threats and smuggling.

During his visit, the Tunisian Minister of Interior was briefed on the working conditions of the units affiliated to the various wires of the National Security, the National Guard and the Civil Protection.

He also visited the border police station at the Dhiba border crossing to see the role of this unit in facilitating the services provided to travelers on the one hand and protecting the national territory on the other hand.
