The Prime Minister discusses with the mayors of the municipalities of the eastern, southern and western regions the bottlenecks facing development projects

Tripoli- The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity “Abdul Hamid Dabaiba” held a meeting today with a number of mayors of the municipalities of the eastern, southern and western regions to discuss the needs and bottlenecks facing development projects in those municipalities.

The Prime Minister issued his instructions to form a ministerial committee to be in a permanent session to meet with the mayors of municipalities to solve these bottlenecks and put the projects they propose among the priorities of their ministries.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the attending deans stressed the need to hold elections as soon as possible and to end the transitional stages that hindered development and stability in Libya.

This meeting comes within the framework of the Prime Minister’s interest in activating decentralization and enabling municipalities to exercise their powers.
