Tripoli-The Presidential Council on Wednesday discussed the political situation in the country and the challenges of this phase.
The President of the Council, Mohammed Al Mnefi and his deputies Musa Al-Kony and Abdullah Al-Lafi reviewed the constitutional track held in Cairo by the joint committee of the House of Representatives and the High Council of State, to reach a consensus formula, which meets the aspirations of the Libyan people to conduct electoral entitlements, to reach lasting peace in the country.
During today’s meeting, the Presidential Council reiterated that holding presidential and parliamentary elections on a constitutional basis is the only solution to Libya’s political crisis, stressing the importance of ending the transition, reaching stability and achieving peace in the country.
