The President of the Presidential Council meets in Paris the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, in the presence of the Special Envoy to Libya.

Paris, The President of the Presidential Council, “Mohamed Al-Mnifi”, met at his residence in Paris, this Friday morning, the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mrs. Rose Marie, in the presence of the Special Envoy to Libya, Mr. Jan Kubis.

The meeting dealt with the presidential and parliamentary elections file, and the continuation of the expulsion of mercenaries and foreign fighters.

Al-Mnifi, stressed the need for all parties to fulfill their obligations, including holding the elections on time, ensuring the acceptance of their results, and continuing to expel mercenaries and foreign fighters. Expressing his hope for the success of the Paris conference, he urged all parties to agree on a road map that would take the country to safety.

For her part, Mrs. “Rose Mary” appealed to the President of the Presidential Council to continue to work, in order to create a state of consensus among all parties, and stressed the continuation of providing full support to the Presidential Council and the (5 + 5) Committee until the exit of mercenaries and foreign fighters from the country.
