Tripoli, March 06, 2022 – The Ministry of Oil and Gas considered closing the valves of the Sharara and Elfeel oil lines in these circumstances a real threat to the livelihood of the Libyan people.
In a statement today, Sunday, the ministry called on all relevant parties to intervene quickly and consider the demands of the people who closed the valves. Condemning these actions, which are a threat to the income of the Libyans.
The ministry said that the closures taking place now, and in light of the rise in oil and gas prices globally, are compromising the livelihood of the Libyans, given that oil is the only income for the country.
