The Libyan ambassador in Rome and the head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Italian Parliament discuss the political developments in Libya

Rome- The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Italian Parliament, “Piero Fusino”, affirmed his country’s readiness to work with the United Nations Mission in Libya to support the demands of the Libyan people in achieving the elections.

This came during a meeting held by “Piero Fusino” today, Monday, with the Libyan ambassador to Italy, “Omar Al-Tarhouni” at the Parliament’s headquarters in the capital, Rome, to discuss the latest political developments in Libya.

During the meeting, Fusino said that his country represents one of the countries of the Berlin Group, which will work with the United Nations mission in Libya to support the demands of the Libyan people in establishing a constitutional basis that achieves the electoral process as soon as possible and is supportive of the stability of Libya.
