Tripoli, January 4, 2022 (LANA) – The Chairman of the Council of the High National Elections Commission, Imad Al-Sayeh, met today, Wednesday, with Council member Abdul Hakim Al-Shaab, a number of directors of departments and divisions of the Commission, and experts from the United Nations Elections Support Team in Libya.
The Commission stated on its Facebook page that the meeting discussed plans and projects for developing work in the Commission.
The meeting also reviewed a number of technical and technological procedures related to the development of the system for the project “Using Information Technology to Verify Voter Identity” by listening to the committee in charge of implementing the project.
The Commission indicated that this meeting comes as a continuation of the series of meetings that the Commission has initiated to hold to follow up on the level of readiness of the Commission’s departments and offices, to implement the upcoming electoral events and ways to enhance them.
