The first meeting of the Board of Directors of the Training Institute for Strengthening Migration Partnerships in the Mediterranean.

Tripoli- The first meeting of the Board of Directors of the Training Institute was held today, Thursday, to strengthen migration partnerships in the Mediterranean, within the framework of coordination between the Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

The meeting included the Director of the Relations and Cooperation Department of the Libyan Ministry of Interior, the Ministry’s coordinator at the Institute, and representatives of the Ministries of Interior in Jordan, Lebanon, Denmark, Austria, Malta, Italy, the European Union, and the International Center for Migration Policy Development.

During the meeting, the Institute’s Board of Directors and a technical advisory group with the membership of the mentioned countries, including Libya, were established, in order to provide added value to the best training services and to establish networks of trainers to ensure the continuation of sound practices and enhance training methods.

The meeting, which was held via video communication technology, also touched upon facilitating effective coordination for the design and implementation of the best training packages with internationally accredited certificates.
