The Egyptian Presidency: The file of holding the Libyan elections on time during the month of December was present in all of Sisi’s meetings in Glasgow.

Cairo, The Egyptian presidency said, on Monday, that the Libyan file and holding the elections on time next December were present in all the discussions held by President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on the sidelines of the climate summit held in the Scottish city of Glasgow.

According to television statements, by the Egyptian presidential spokesman, “Bassam Radi,” Sisi raised the Libyan file during his meeting with the Austrian Chancellor and the British Prime Minister, continuing: “There were fixed points and determinants that President Sisi reiterated, namely full commitment to the roadmap and holding the Libyan elections on their scheduled date, December 24’’. He stressed that, “this is the beginning of the new era, the activation of the administration of the free Libyan people, and the beginning of the future.”

The Egyptian spokesman added that there is an understanding of what Sisi proposed, and that the international position is committed to holding the Libyan elections on time, because it is the real beginning and it is an important date for the political settlement in Libya, in addition to the necessity of the exit of all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya.
