The death and loss of 35 illegal immigrants off the coast of the city of Sabratha

Tripoli- The International Organization for Migration announced the killing and missing of 35 people, who were on a wooden boat carrying illegal immigrants off the coast of the city of Sabratha, west of Tripoli.

The “French Press Agency” quoted the organization as saying that the bodies of 6 migrants were recovered, while 29 others were missing and were likely dead, while the reasons for the capsizing of the boat were not immediately clear.

The wreck of the boat arrived Friday at the coast of Sabratha, which is a major departure point for African migrants heading to Europe via the Mediterranean Sea.

It is worth noting that more than 90 people died in early April, after a boat sank off the Libyan coast, according to Doctors Without Borders, which confirmed the drowning of the ninety migrants in international waters, after leaving Libya on an overcrowded boat several days ago.
