The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives invites Italian companies to participate in the reconstruction of Libyan cities

Benghazi- The Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives, Youssef Al-Aqoury, invited Italian companies and experts specialized in the field of city planning to participate in the reconstruction of all Libyan cities.

This came in his speech during his participation in a workshop on “Reconstruction of the Old City of Benghazi” organized by the Benghazi Municipality and the Italian Consulate, with the participation of officials and investors from the public and private sectors, Libyan and international businessmen, and representatives of international organizations, according to what was published by the official spokesman of the House of Representatives “Abdullah Belhaq” on his official Facebook page.

Al-Aqouri said that the stability phase that Libya is witnessing will be very suitable for construction, and infrastructure development in all Libyan cities, and Italy is one of the leading countries in these areas, noting that his participation in the workshop comes to send a message that Libya is recovering and that we welcome everyone to help us build our country.

He also expressed his support for such conferences and forums that aim to benefit from international expertise in the field of city planning, expressing his appreciation for the expertise of Italian specialists and companies in this field.

The workshop, which was held on Monday, included presentations by a number of Italian experts on the reconstruction of the old city in Benghazi and the preservation of the cultural and archaeological heritage in that region.
