Stephanie Williams discusses with Ramatan Lamamra in Algeria the constitutional path for the Libyan elections

Algeria- Adviser to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Stephanie Williams, said that she met the Algerian Foreign Minister, Ramatan Lamamra, and reviewed with him the situation in Libya and the last upcoming round of the joint committee of the House of Representatives and the State scheduled to be held in Cairo starting on Sunday 12 From this June.

On her Twitter account, Stephanie tweeted the following: I was pleased to meet His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Mr. Ramatan Lamamra. I discussed with His Excellency the recent developments in Libya and the region.

The need to end work on the constitutional track owned and led by Libyans during the next and last round of the House of Representatives and the Supreme State Committee, which will be held in Cairo during the period 12-19 June, with the aim of rebuilding consensus on a solid constitutional / electoral track to enable the holding of national elections.

Finally, we agreed on the importance of maintaining calm and stability on the ground and avoiding any provocative actions or inflammatory rhetoric.
