Spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations: Differences between a number of member states within the Security Council prevent the appointment of a new UN envoy to Libya

New York- The spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations, “Stephan Dujarric’’, confirmed on Friday that differences of opinion between a number of member states within the UN Security Council prevent the Secretary-General of the United Nations from appointing a new UN envoy to Libya.

During his daily briefing, Dujarric explained that despite the differences he mentioned, hope and optimism have no limits, as well as determination.
