SPA Participates in International Translation Forum

Riyadh, The Saudi Press Agency (SPA), represented by the Translation and Bulletins Departments, is taking part in the third International Translation Forum 2023, titled “Fostering Cross-Cultural Exchange,” at King Saud University in Riyadh.

SPA’s participation includes the setting up of a pavilion that displays photos showcasing the Kingdom’s development in various fields, its care for the Two Holy Mosques, as well as the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 projects.

The pavilion provides specialists in media translation with an introduction to SPA’s media approach and its news product platforms available in several languages. It also highlights the services it provides to subscribers.

The forum, which kicked off today, is organized by the Saudi Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission. The event aims to shed light on the importance of the translation profession and its constructive role in connecting cultures and civilizations.

The event will feature 10 panel sessions focusing on the most important issues in the field of translation and nine workshops that aim to refine practitioners’ skills and develop their abilities. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet local and international translation experts participating in the forum, through the “Talk with the Experts” event.
