South Korea renews its support for the national unity government, especially in the security field.

Tripoli, South Korea on Monday renewed its support for the national unity government, especially in the field of security.

This came during a meeting between the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for District Affairs, Major General Bashir Al-Amin, and the Korean Deputy Foreign Minister in the capital, Tripoli, on Monday.

According to a statement by the Ministry of the Interior, the Undersecretary of the Ministry explained to the Korean official the nature of the work and the police and security practices in which the ministry practices through its strategic plan, adding that the ministry seeks to establish security and enhance stability in Libya and secure the return of embassies and diplomatic and international missions, according to a statement by the Interior Ministry.

The statement said that the Deputy Foreign Minister of South Korea stressed “his government’s interest in supporting the efforts of the national unity government, especially in the security field.” He also questioned the security situation related to the return of Korean companies and the return of the Korean ambassador accredited to Libya.

Al-Amin stressed that “the security situation in Libya is encouraging for the return of companies and the return of the Korean ambassador, especially with the presence of a large number of embassies in Libya that are operating normally.”

At the conclusion of this meeting, the two sides agreed to form a joint team to discuss some visions, challenges and needs and to exchange experiences between the two countries.
