Doha, The Saudi Deputy Minister of Finance for International Relations, Khalid Bawazier, headed the Kingdom’s delegation to the 71st meeting of the GCC Deputy Ministers of Finance Committee, which was held May 20, 2024, in Doha, Qatar, according to the Ministry of Finance news release.
According to the statement, the meeting served as preparation for the 121st ministerial meeting of the GCC Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee. It was also scheduled for participants to discuss the results of the 82nd meeting of the GCC Committee for Central Banks Governors, in addition to the results of the meetings related to the board of directors of the GCC Customs Union and the GCC Common Market Committee.
The participants also reviewed the topics of the meeting for the representatives of Ministries of Finance to discuss the initiatives of the G20’s Finance Track, in addition to other topics related to the Committee’s work.
The meeting’s activities were concluded with recommendations to the GCC Financial and Ec
onomic Cooperation Committee on the topics to be discussed during the 121st ministerial meeting of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee, to be held in Doha on May 30, 2024.
