Saudi Arabia Implements Custodian of Two Holy Mosques’ Gift of Dates Program in Botswana


Riyadh: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance implemented on Friday the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Gift Program for distributing dates to Muslim people in Botswana during Ramadan.

The program was implemented in the capital, Gaborone, in the presence of the Religious Attaché at Saudi Arabia’s Embassy in South Africa Mohammed Ashour, Botswana’s Mufti Abdur Rahman Shareef, and several Islamic figures.

The program has included distributing three tons of dates, benefiting more than 12,000 Muslims.

Botswana’s mufti expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom, represented by its leadership, and to the ministry’s officials for implementing the program and providing care for Muslims worldwide.
